I always enjoy popping in to have a look at their hunting and fishing gear whenever I pass through Amherst. This time, their public restrooms were all out of order. I felt like the lady was feeding me a line at the automotive department. How can you operate a Canadian Tire store without public facilities? I'll be saving my fishing budget for Bass Pro in Moncton.

It's Canadian Tire, the staff were present and helpful. Found pretty much everything I was looking for.
Catherine Hamilton (2025-04-22, 8:06 a.m.):
The blokes at the tills are quite pleasant. Yet, when it's peak hours... there are only 2 queues open. Frequently snag a discounted item, only to realize bits are absent or they simply don't fit. Most annoying was picking up dog biscuits and realizing the expiry date had long passed.... I reckon the owner/manager ain't too fussed about their customers.

This is the best place to visit if you're not sure what you need or how to fix something. The helpful staff will guide you in the right direction. Plus, you can collect Canadian Tire money on every purchase as well.
Zachary Hernandez (2025-04-21, 3:43 p.m.):
The staff were quite friendly, and the cashier was very pleasant.
Stephen Gutierrez (2025-04-19, 3:56 a.m.):
The staff are right friendly and helpful, and the store is chock-full of pretty much everything you could be after. Cheers!

I say, Jolly good day to ya chaps! Today I popped into the ol' Department Store and picked meself up a set of much needed kitchen glasses. Upon my return home, which I must add is a jolly long hour and a half journey to any Canadian Tire location, I found a cracked glass in the box, can you believe it? So, I rang up the Amherst store where I made the purchase and waited on hold for a good 30 minutes or so. I inquired if they could kindly hold the last box of the same item for me, as they would be returning the damaged one to the manufacturer. I explained that I couldn't quite make the costly and tiresome three-hour round trip back to the store right away. But guess what they said, it was rather nonsensical if you ask me. They suggested that I either buy another box online, then come into the store to swap out the glass and get a refund, or come back the very same day as they couldn't hold items for more than a day. Can you imagine driving six hours in total for just one replacement glass in a day?! And to top it off, the box with the damaged glass wouldn't even be put back on the shelf, so holding it for 24 hours shouldn't have been an issue. I'm absolutely fuming, I tell ya, so please do yourselves a favour and steer clear of shopping there. They seem to follow a scripted response, keep you on hold for an eternity, answer the phone only to put you back on hold. Not to mention, they don't seem all that busy—I've worked in retail meself, and each situation should be handled appropriately, not with a one-size-fits-all approach. Blimey!

They 'ave what ya need. If ya looked it up before goin' and can't find ya product, ya can ask one of the many unhelpful employees who can look in the exact same place ya did before scannin' the item number in and confirmin' that it should be there. I was told one day that it must be in the back still on a pallet and to come back the followin' day. Don't ask for advice for yer project unless ya are lookin' to redo it in a few weeks. The older gentleman in the paint section will 'elp as much as possible and admit when 'e does not know.
Allison Hamilton (2025-04-16, 12:41 p.m.):
Way better place to shop than before.
Jerry Gomez (2025-04-16, 12:09 p.m.):
I was able to locate both items I was in search of simply by following the aisle signage! Hooray
Jordan Murphy (2025-04-15, 8:14 p.m.):
Cheers to Annie and the service crew for sorting out my rim after a run-in with a pesky pothole! Within 10 minutes of touching down at CT, my car was already in the workshop getting checked out. They found the bent rim and replaced it, so now I can hit the road safely again. Thanks once more :)
Laura Taylor (2025-04-15, 1:24 a.m.):
It was fine until I got to the payment counter for the items I needed. Only two registers were open. Customers were queuing up down the aisles. Dreadful. I waited for over 25 minutes. I asked the cashier to open more registers. She tried but no one responded. I ended up leaving my items and walked out. Went to other stores and purchased what I required. You'd think they'd have more staff on, especially on a Saturday during the Christmas shopping season. Debbie Legere
I'm not sure how the star ratings can go from bad to good. I experienced very poor service.
Juan Richardson (2025-04-13, 7:18 a.m.):
What a dreadful and shambolic establishment. They fail to pick up the phone, lack coordination among staff, and I genuinely believe that my 3-year-old would do a better job at diagnosing my car service problem than these chaps. Simply dreadful.
Ava Hernandez (2025-04-10, 12:02 p.m.):
I find that this store 'as staff that truly cares about their customers by engaging with them instead of 'iding away in the back or down an aisle out of sight. This store is consistently tidy and they always seem to 'ave what I'm after. They always offer to assist with larger items for transport outside. I always appreciate the 'elp and I 'ope they continue their excellent work.
Sarah Gonzales (2025-04-10, 2:26 a.m.):
Just purchased some flowers there. Fantastic pricing and selection!
Angela King (2025-04-07, 7:16 p.m.):
Well, mate, quite a bother it is when you find yourself having to order for same-day in-store pickup so often due to the chaps not restocking the shelves. And then, when you kindly ask them to fetch the missing product that should be in stock, they go on about how the stock numbers are off and you're left twiddling your thumbs for a good 3 hours before you can fetch your item in-store. Quite a frustrating ordeal, I must say!
Richard Roberts (2025-04-07, 11:28 a.m.):
This ain't your regular ol' Canadian tire, which is usually much bigger. However, the customer service and variety of items available are pretty top-notch. Definitely a go-to spot for all your different needs.
Russell Morales (2025-04-06, 1:28 p.m.):
This store is quite useless, just like most of the employees. They are rather rude and don't seem to want to be bothered, particularly one of the female managers.
Alan Bailey (2025-04-06, 9:06 a.m.):
Hrithik and Casey from Mastercard's customer service team were extremely personable and provided excellent assistance.
Benjamin Jenkins (2025-04-04, 9:06 p.m.):
I'm not entirely sure of the name of the lass who lent a hand, but she's an absolute gem. I was over at Sobeys picking up some bits and bobs, and when I got back to my motor, it wouldn't unlock. I reckoned the battery in my fob had given up the ghost, so I hopped on over to Canadian Tire to snag a new one. I asked the lass by the car gear if they had a battery, and she confirmed they did while spotting my keys. Would you believe it, we both drive the same make and year of car! I explained what had happened, and she mentioned that certain spots in that parking lot are like black holes where your key fob can't send a signal. She even sketched out a wee diagram showing me how to manually unlock my motor as I didn't have a clue how. Turns out, I didn't need a new battery after all. With her guidance, I managed to get into my car. It was truly the best customer service experience ever.
