My visit to the pharmacy last Tuesday, October 1st, in the afternoon was quite disappointing. I had to wait for a whole hour to get my medicines, which is just unreasonable. Despite the fact that there were more than 6 people working, the service was still slow, and it seems like every time I go there, there are new employees both on the floor and behind the counter. This situation has significantly deteriorated since the summer, and it's rather disheartening.

I rang up about 4:30 in the arvo to suss out them COVID rapid tests, yeah? I was keen to find out if ya had saliva tests on hand. The bloke on the other end gave me a bit of a cheek, reckonin' I should've known they do both saliva and nasal swab testing. So off I toddle to the pharmacy, fork out over $32 for the test, only to find out it's just the ol' nasal swab job. Fair dinkum, I'm as mad as a cut snake! Next time, I'll be heading elsewhere, no worries mate!

They do not respect the promised pickup times for prescriptions, making us wait even when we are the only customers present, despite being told our order would be ready. Despite having multiple employees, there seems to be little effort made to provide satisfactory customer service. They are also not very helpful with prescriptions that need to be filled urgently. One of the pharmacists is rude and treats customers with disrespect. It would benefit the staff to undergo a basic customer service training course. The only positive note is the older lady at the checkout, who at least seems somewhat empathetic. It is evident that they lack the ability to assess and improve the customer experience they provide.

I rang up Jean-Coutu Fort St-Louis today to schedule a strep test for my lad. Gabriel, the nurse who got back to me, delivered top-notch service! Really pleasant and on the ball, he went above and beyond to get my son seen that same day. My other half also needed a test and was told a callback would come the next day, but Gabriel still found the time to ring him back that evening to get him an appointment pronto. Big kudos to this caring, committed nurse who truly listens to his patients!! :-))
