The Maitre D'Hotel could have been a bit more accommodating but seemed reluctant to rearrange our seating, even though the restaurant wasn't fully booked yet. It seems he was hesitant to disrupt the table plan.

Top-notch cuisine. Regrettably, the service falls short of a Paccini establishment.
We had specifically requested bar seating when making our reservation, yet upon arrival, we were informed it was not feasible due to full capacity. Only to later observe them accommodating patrons who arrived an hour after us. Seems it's not first come, first served, but rather who you know at the Maitre d'hotel if you wish to secure a spot at the bar.
Furthermore, the Maître d'hotel seemed more concerned with asserting authority over the waitstaff than ensuring all guests were tended to.
After being seated, we waited a full 10 minutes before receiving any acknowledgment. Meanwhile, the Maître d'hotel lingered a few paces from our table, observing us without offering water or beverages, and failing to take any action...
It's worth noting that the restaurant was merely at 30% capacity... can't imagine the experience during peak hours. No excuses for such subpar service.
If this individual is in charge of training, it doesn't bode well for the future of service quality.

A deeply disappointing encounter, particularly when you factor in the $375 tab for two people.
Culinary-wise, a definite 5-star rating. Sadly, the lackluster service tarnished the experience.

There seems to be a lack of regional products to explore.
The Migneron potatoes are too large.
A standout dish is missing, both in savory and sweet categories.
However, the service provided by a very attentive and kind gentleman (quite elderly) is exceptional, as well as the coffee.
On the other hand, another server, who is younger, should be informed that we say "sit" instead of "sit down."

One of the dining establishments at the Germain Hotel. Upon our arrival, the space was devoid of other patrons and remained so until our departure. We had made a reservation for 11:00, and although we arrived promptly at that time, the waiter who greeted us claimed it was 11:11. This individual exuded an air of severity. Disheartened by the aloof and disagreeable demeanor exhibited by this individual, we opted to depart. Our expectations for the Germain Hotel were regrettably unmet.

Additionally, your beverage options are limited to their in-house microbrewery beers – there are no other choices available! In terms of service, the staff was pleasant, but the waiter we had was far from outstanding. In conclusion, I wouldn't suggest this place due to its high prices, restricted beer selection, and overall average ambiance.

We popped into the lunch buffet this morning. The grub was top-notch, but they really need to sort out their service. The person at the front desk keeps disappearing for ages, leaving customers hanging around for what feels like an eternity. Sometimes they'll return, glance at their notes, and then bugger off without acknowledging those who've been waiting 10-15 minutes. A simple "we'll be with you shortly" would go a long way. And don't even get me started on the cafe waitstaff. It took ages just to get a cuppa. When it came time to settle the bill and scarper, it was a nightmare trying to flag down a server. After finishing our meal, we must've waited a good 20 minutes before taking matters into our own hands and seeking out someone in the kitchen to process our payment. Seeing us up and about, other patrons followed suit, suggesting they'd also been twiddling their thumbs for quite some time. In a nutshell, the nosh was spot-on, but the service left a lot to be desired. I get that they might be short-staffed, and everyone's doing their best, but they really need to up their game in the hospitality department!

And let's not forget the unlimited and excellent coffee service.
The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. It's advisable to make a reservation in advance, and ensure to confirm your preferred seating time. We particularly enjoyed sitting by the window, with views overlooking the farm.

Upon visiting this establishment, I must admit I had some reservations due to the mixed reviews it had received. However, upon experiencing it firsthand, I am truly puzzled by the negativity. Our server, Marie, was absolutely delightful - friendly, charming, and attentive, which truly enhanced our evening. Despite the common issue of understaffing in many restaurants, we did not feel its effects thanks to Marie's impeccable service.
It is worth noting that this restaurant offers a delightful lunch buffet, and the food is simply delicious. For dinner, we indulged in starters such as Asian beef tataki, foie gras pâté, and tuna carpaccio, followed by exquisite duck and lamb dishes, and desserts that perfectly rounded off the meal. The wine selection was superb, making it a truly memorable dining experience. Additionally, they prioritize working with local producers to craft their dishes, adding an extra layer of authenticity to their offerings.
In my opinion, the restaurant's rating of 3.8 falls short and should be closer to a 4.5. Furthermore, the royal cake was a standout treat that captivated our taste buds with its rich chocolate flavor without being overly sweet.
