The service was splendid and the cuisine was truly top-notch - abundant fresh local ingredients with meticulously crafted menus. We shall definitely return!

During the weekend festival, we stumbled upon Bistro de l'estran for dinner and what a delightful discovery it was! The risotto was simply exquisite, bursting with flavors. The dishes were incredibly tasty - I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Due date: we booked a week in advance and upon arrival, there was a never-ending wait before we were seated and served! That was just the beginning as the flow of the evening was dreadful! Reservation at 7:30 p.m., first dish served at 9 p.m. Starter not served at the same time! Unbelievable wait for condiments...

Food: overcooked salmon! Squid starter seemed forgotten on the stove for too long! Forgot one out of three ingredients on the pizza. Had to search for utensils. No wine available from the menu.

Service: the waiter clearly lacked experience, after this complete disaster, we had to generate our own bills because they couldn't remember our orders... and we had to stand by the cash register multiple times to request our bills. Someone even mentioned a 20% tip.

To sum it up, the worst experience ever, no doubt about it.

Honestly, it was quite disappointing to have spent a delightful Christmas evening at this establishment. However, all was not lost as it turned out to be a fantastic culinary revelation. One of my most memorable experiences in Quebec. Highly recommend giving it a try.

The service was absolutely delightful! Our dining experience was top-notch, and we were equally impressed by the charming decor. The dining area offers a stunning view of the river. The cozy lobby with the crackling fireplace quickly became a favorite spot for enjoying tea and hot chocolate with the kids. I highly recommend this place. We plan to revisit in the summer to experience the outdoor terrace, which promises to be just as spectacular.

I ventured in with hopes of a delightful and romantic evening, however, I was sorely let down.
The server appeared to be inexperienced, unable to mix a simple cocktail and lacking knowledge in beer 🍻 If you fancy a sip of wine, your options are limited.
After enduring a two-hour wait, our dishes arrived not as we had specified.
Feeling disheartened, we opted to depart, yet no staff member was on hand to address our grievances 😲
Of the four occupied tables, three were disgruntled.
The verdict is yours to make.
I certainly shan't be revisiting this establishment 😕

The menu showcases top-notch local produce, with dishes that vary depending on what's fresh and in season. The staff here are not only friendly but also incredibly kind. Additionally, they offer accommodation in a delightful hostel, with a variety of room options to suit all budgets. There's even a swimming pool on-site, plus you're less than 200 meters away from the beach and an array of water activities. The view is simply stunning. A must-visit destination! 👌

I do say, it's rather a shame I couldn't leave a glowing review, but my companions and I did find ourselves left to linger outside for a good ten minutes without a soul acknowledging our presence. Not a single glance nor a simple greeting from the waitress or any other member of staff, you see.

One would think the very least they could do would be to inform us if they were simply too occupied to tend to another table! Oh, the hospitality, or lack thereof, truly left much to be desired, wouldn't you agree?

My visit to this dining establishment was an absolute catastrophe. Upon our arrival, the staff displayed a shocking level of rudeness, failing to extend even a basic welcome. Despite my clearly presented assistance dog documentation, access to the terrace was denied, which is utterly inexcusable. The disrespect shown towards both myself and my service animal is completely intolerable. I wholeheartedly discourage anyone from patronizing this establishment and urge all diners to steer clear of this restaurant at any cost.
