I recently had my ACL rebuilt and Meniscus repaired at the hospital, and I must say they did an absolutely brilliant job. A huge thank you to all the nurses and Dr. Gregory Buchko for their exceptional care and expertise. Thank you once again.

Whilst the doctor provided me with friendly and professional assistance, I must say that the nurses' demeanor was quite disappointing. Apart from one kind non-Canadian nurse, the others were rude, grumpy, and unprofessional. It felt as though they viewed me as an inconvenience they wanted to be rid of quickly. In Norway, nurses exhibit a much higher level of care and professionalism!

The surgeon was top-notch, quite impressive, I must say. However, the rest of the hospital experience was simply dreadful. I would strongly advise against choosing this hospital unless it's a dire emergency. The focus here seemed to be solely on money matters. Particularly if you happen to be visiting from abroad and they discover you have insurance, it becomes all about the cash.

The nurses were an absolute disaster. They surely seem to have missed their calling in this profession. I have resided in four different countries, yet never encountered such subpar service in a medical setting. I had the misfortune of fracturing my leg in Banff, and the paramedics (truly exceptional individuals) brought me to this hospital. Upon arrival at the emergency room, I endured a lengthy wait in excruciating pain. Despite my severe discomfort and my friend's attempts to get assistance, we were met with excuses of being busy, though their actual workload was visibly light.

Now, as for the surgeon – Dr. Heard – he was truly remarkable. He performed the surgery on me skillfully and competently. However, despite numerous follow-ups with his office, I never did receive the operative notes.

Post-surgery, the majority of the nursing staff here provided extremely poor service. Nonetheless, it must be acknowledged that there were a couple of outstanding nurses amidst the lot.

This hospital is just dreadful. I've had to visit twice in less than a week due to severe pain. The doctor keeps insisting I only take Tylenol and Advil, despite me explaining that I've already tried them with no relief. I feel like my concerns are not being heard, and it's been a waste of time coming here. I won't be returning for a third visit. The same female doctor saw me both times, and she was extremely inconsiderate of my pain and provided no real help. The service was truly abysmal!

In the middle of August, I took a tumble while out on a hike and ended up breaking my ankle. An ambulance promptly whisked me away to Banff hospital before I journeyed back to Calgary. The team, including the EMTs and Dr. Plant, were absolutely wonderful! And it wasn’t just because they let me inhale laughing gas. Following X-rays and getting my ankle casted, they reached out to the hospital in my local area to inform them that I would be arriving the following day for surgery. (Due to a nursing shortage, the procedure couldn’t be performed there.) Even though I felt quite overwhelmed by breaking a bone for the very first time, I had a surprisingly pleasant visit to the emergency room. Following surgery, my recovery is going well, and I’m grateful that I didn’t try to tough it out and drive home before seeking medical attention!
Maria Collins (2025-05-18, 3:56 a.m.):
I popped into the ER due to a dreadful fever, and was promptly attended to with utmost care and compassion by the amazing staff. They handled my case with the utmost seriousness and managed to soothe my nerves in what was quite a scary situation for me. Kudos to the fantastic team at this hospital!
Helen Ramirez (2025-05-16, 11:26 a.m.):
Sometimes, I reckon I forget what it truly means to be Canadian. But the staff here have kindly reminded me several times this week. Even when I was referred to a different hospital in Calgary and Sylvan Lake. Thank you for assisting me with my excruciating injury. I would like to express my gratitude to all the staff who made it effortless for me to have my injury thoroughly examined.
Edward Graham (2025-05-16, 8:12 a.m.):
I did injure my wrist in Lake Louise and luckily my insurance sent me to the hospital. The care I received was absolutely top-notch, from the friendly receptionist to the attentive nurses and skilled doctors. I just wanted to express my gratitude to everyone involved.
Douglas Watson (2025-05-14, 4:27 a.m.):
Every time I visit, I give it a big thumbs up. The staff is very friendly and caring!
Julia Reyes (2025-05-13, 9:18 a.m.):
A calming ambiance within the hospital. The staff were extremely pleasant and proficient. A truly undiscovered gem among medical facilities.
Harold Gonzalez (2025-05-12, 11:25 a.m.):
I underwent ACL surgery at this hospital. Every individual we encountered, from the receptionist to the anesthesiologist, the nursing team, and the surgeon, was absolutely FANTASTIC. They all displayed such compassion and we received treatment with the utmost professionalism. It was truly remarkable.
Carolyn Taylor (2025-05-11, 5:08 a.m.):
As a visitor from abroad who suffered an ACL injury while skiing on a holiday, I never expected to find such efficient and clear medical care. The fees and details for my discharge were presented clearly, making payment straightforward. I visited during a quiet period, so the wait time was minimal before I received attention, and I was in and out within a few hours. Obtaining my medical records for follow-up care back home was also a smooth process.
Steven Foster (2025-05-10, 3:13 a.m.):
This crew of medical pros are top notch...absolute top-notch service I've yet to come across in any yyc establishment. Definitely worth the trip!
Daniel Perez (2025-05-10, 12:39 a.m.):
The nurses are absolutely fantastic and the level of care is top-notch, you won't feel overwhelmed or lost in this bustling hospital.
Riley Reyes (2025-05-08, 2:41 p.m.):
I popped into Mineral Springs Hospital for a sprained finger during my visit to the Banff area. Even though I didn't need to stay, the staff I encountered were so lovely, attentive, and supportive. They gave me some medical tape and an info sheet in case I required additional assistance. I was in and out in a jiffy, within five minutes. Huge thanks to everyone on staff once more!
Ryan Bailey (2025-05-08, 3:43 a.m.):
I recently underwent knee surgery at the hospital. The booking clerk who arranged my appointment promptly was absolutely fantastic, going the extra mile to assist me. Not only was Dr. Kopka an exceptional surgeon, but the entire staff was truly wonderful. They were welcoming, compassionate, and provided reassurance every step of the way. The nurses were attentive to my concerns, helping to alleviate any worries I had. They even offered warm blankets when I felt chilly and checked in on me before and after the surgery. The anesthesiologist was incredibly calm and caring while administering the IV, which helped ease my anxiety. And I must mention the food - the muffin was especially delicious! Due to not having anyone available to pick me up, I had to stay a few extra hours after the surgery, and the staff was understanding and made sure I had everything I needed. What a fantastic hospital!
Andrew Torres (2025-05-07, 6:27 a.m.):
I would much rather journey all the way to Calgary. My experience at this hospital with a severe sprained ankle was dreadful. The staff was quite unfriendly.
Daniel Howard (2025-05-04, 11:10 p.m.):
I must express my deepest appreciation for the incredible staff at the hospital. Their dedication to ensuring my comfort, catering to my needs, and providing unwavering support truly touched my heart. This was my third procedure in recent years, so naturally, my anxiety levels were elevated... The nurses, anesthesiologist, and surgeon demonstrated exceptional professionalism and compassion, committed to delivering the highest quality of care. My heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you ❤️
Amy Reyes (2025-05-04, 12:00 p.m.):
I'm having trouble breathing because of an asthma attack, and I was asked multiple times for information before being told to call a pharmacy to check if I have an inhaler. Seriously, I can't breathe properly, but they want my home address first? If something happens to me, it's on them.
