A splendid array of chocolate treats! The prices start at around $2 and go up, catering to all budgets. The staff were friendly and well-informed. Additionally, they had their own bakery at the back where you could peek at them working on delicious creations. Overall, a delightful experience!

The shop owner is absolutely lovely, and the fudge is simply divine!

Regrettably, the recent proprietor of this establishment decided to reprimand individuals outside her shop who were queuing on the sidewalk for a charity food bank drive at the tattoo parlor, as witnessed by many. She claimed they were obstructing the sidewalk, although they were not and could have easily been navigated through. Despite advance notice given to local businesses, including this one, this was the only shop that mistreated those in line. It is challenging to endorse the quality of their chocolates when the business fails to support those in need.
Particularly in a quaint town like this one. It remains unclear why the owner chose to act in such a manner when there was a line of people waiting to sample and purchase chocolates. Engaging with the queue would have been a more positive course of action.
Rather than resorting to negative reviews, I prefer to elucidate the issue, hence the 3-star rating. Having grown up in this town, I have witnessed the impact of a challenging economy on some residents. Any opposition to a food bank drive will not win over any allies, regardless of the justification.
Fortunately, there are numerous welcoming businesses in town ready to cater to your needs. I encourage you to support them instead.

I absolutely adore the fudge at this charming little shop! With such a variety of flavors to choose from, my taste buds are always in for a delightful treat. Not only is their fudge top-notch, but the gift shop itself is a gem. It offers an intriguing assortment of clothing, jewelry, and even wood furniture. It's always a fun experience to browse around and discover new treasures. Whenever I'm vacationing in Bancroft, I make sure to make a pit stop at this wonderful spot.
Sarah Kim (2025-06-25, 10:15 a.m.):
I must say, the chocolate at this establishment did not quite hit the spot for me. I found myself longing for the delightful treats from the fudge factory instead.
Judy Foster (2025-06-24, 10:29 p.m.):
If you're a fan of chocolate like myself, then you absolutely must try the chocolate rabbit! Their mouthwatering, delightful chocolates are simply irresistible. And let's not forget about their selection of teas. I highly recommend paying a visit to one of their locations in Bancroft, Lakefield, or Peterborough. The mud bugs are my personal favorite, but honestly, all their chocolates are divine. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind, making the whole experience even better. I will definitely be returning for more soon! 😊😊
Nathan Ward (2025-06-24, 9:54 p.m.):
When I stepped into the shop, everyone was incredibly friendly and personable. The variety of chocolates available was truly impressive. I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this delightful establishment.
Cynthia Cook (2025-06-23, 8:45 p.m.):
Lovely little chocolate shop to peruse whilst in the vicinity. Nevertheless, the lady at the front desk was not the most welcoming. Given that she works in a chocolate shop, I expected the customer service to be much more delightful. The fudge is not really our cup of tea, overly sweet, and the salted caramel seemed more like a brownie, a different fudge texture than what I'm accustomed to; however, worth a taste if you're a fudge enthusiast. All in all, if you find yourself with some time and a hankering for chocolate, do pop in.
Wayne Powell (2025-06-23, 4:41 a.m.):
The fudge at this shop is absolutely divine, though it can be a tad dear. I've been a loyal patron for years and have never been let down by the exceptional quality and flavor. However, I only indulge in this treat once a summer due to its higher price point.
Allison Sullivan (2025-06-19, 7:31 p.m.):
Making the journey from Peterborough to Bancroft with my family was truly a delightful experience, especially when we made a pit stop to indulge in some delectable milk chocolates. I daresay this establishment boasts the finest chocolates and fudge, and the staff exuded a warm welcome while demonstrating extensive knowledge about the ingredients used in their products. If you happen to be in the vicinity, a visit to this chocolate shop is a definite must.
Juan Ortiz (2025-06-19, 5:38 p.m.):
This wee shop is an absolute gem, boasting the most delicious fudge in town.
Karen Ramos (2025-06-19, 1:10 p.m.):
My missus and I have had a caravan up in Bancroft for about 5 years now. We'd heard about these mudbugs over by the Moose, but never ventured in. My wife, like all happy marriages, wears the trousers, so she suggested we make a special trip over. And let me tell you, it was well worth it. I went for the dark chocolate, while she went for the milk one. The tasting session was a riot, with the lady behind the counter cracking us up with her cheeky banter. Just the right kind of character you expect in a small town joint. We're wrapping things up next weekend, but mark my words – we'll be back, and you've gained yourself a loyal customer. Everything in that shop was just delicious. I can already see my wallet getting lighter by the day!
