Sobeys is a lovely shop, clean and well stocked, but their prices tend to be rather steep. Their food offerings are tasty, yet they often lack variety in selection.

All of their produce appears to be spoiled. Yesterday, I purchased a container of tomatoes for $7.00 and found that all but one were indeed rotten. I am thoroughly disheartened by this SOBEYS establishment. It feels like a complete waste of money. I strongly advise against purchasing anything from them after a holiday. Instead of refraining from displaying spoiled produce, they seem content to offer rotten items at full price, leaving you to dispose of it at home. Furthermore, their bread had surpassed its sell-by date. AND YES... it was still on the shelves for sale.
It seems as though the health department ought to intervene and close them down. I recommend supporting Walmart instead. Let's overlook the idea of supporting local businesses.

Ayy, let me tell you 'bout Ashe Ton up at the front, mate. He's a real gem, top-notch customer service and bagging skills, I'd rate 'em an 8 outta 10. Bloke even complimented me toe ring, brightened my day that did, especially 'cause me uncle's lizard kicked the bucket after munchin' on some of me spaghetti. Definitely gonna come back to this shop 'cause of that lovely young fella. Cheers!

Today I popped into Sobeys to grab a few bits and bobs. I headed over to the deli counter first in search of a particular cheese and meat, and the young lady working there was just so helpful and sweet. She suggested some perfect pairings and was incredibly polite and respectful. If you ever need anything at the deli, be sure to seek out Aliviah. Afterwards, I made my way to the butcher counter. Before arriving, I had given them a ring asking about chorizo sausage (they don't carry it, by the way), but the butcher kindly recommended an alternative. When I mentioned I was coming in, he even told me his break time to make sure he could assist us. Thanks, Josh! There's definitely a noticeable difference between Sobeys and other grocery stores in town. 8/23/2024.
