What a lovely spot, the beef and barley soup was absolutely fantastic. The double cheeseburger special was massive, though I did find it a bit pricey at $26.95. Nevertheless, the quality and quantity were definitely worth it. Thanks a bunch, Chuckwagon Restaurant!

I've devoured many burgers in my time, mate, but let me tell ya, this joint served up one of the best I've ever had. The patty was sizzling hot, perfectly seasoned, and topped with fresh fixings. And their beef barley soup? Absolutely top-notch. Make your way down to Turner Valley and give it a go, you won't be disappointed. Cheers!

I absolutely adored this Cafe! Celebrated my birthday with a delightful brunch here and was thoroughly impressed by the food and ambiance. I highly recommend it. The steak and eggs were truly some of the best I've ever had 👌.

This spot is a real treasure! The grub is just like good ol' home cooking and there's plenty of it! But what really keeps us coming back time and time again is the owner and the team. They're always so welcoming, quick with a joke, and truly enjoy the banter with both the staff and the patrons. They make you feel right at home, like nowhere else does! The drive through the countryside is absolutely stunning, leading you to your final destination - an old-fashioned red barn! This eatery has been standing for over half a century, with the current owner at the helm for 25 years. It's heartwarming to see kids who once came in with their folks now all grown up and working there – "you've got to dine here!!"

Albertan cuisine at its best!

The burger is a must-try dish, blending perfectly with the authentic western ambiance of the place. They serve hearty portions of mouthwatering breakfast options, but make sure to arrive early as it gets bustling! It's always packed for a reason; fantastic value, flavorful dishes, and a cozy vibe. A visit here is highly recommended!

Gee, this joint was a real gem. I couldn't help but feel all cheery. First off, they give you a buzzer if there's a wait for a table (in a small town, can you believe it?). But no worries, we waited no more than 5 minutes. Then our server, with her red hair and bubbly personality, recommended dishes that she clearly adores. I went for the flank steak Benny, and it was a flavor explosion. Cooked to perfection and oh-so-satisfying. The spouse opted for a similar dish with a fancier meat cut, and the extra charge was well worth it.
And let me tell you about the pies - I was too full to try the Banana Cream Flapper, but mark my words, I'll be back for it!

The Chuckwagon Cafe truly embodies character and charm.

I had the pleasure of trying the Steak Tenderloin Eggs Benedict, which was incredibly flavorful served on a croissant in a skillet, accompanied by a side of deliciously decked out hash browns. The staff and atmosphere exude sincerity and authenticity that truly represents the essence of the area.

Absolutely adore this spot! Have visited a handful of times and will definitely be back for more. The burgers are absolutely divine, the steak is simply exquisite, and don't even get me started on the flat iron eggs Benny! 😋😋😋 The steak is so succulent and tender, it's a real treat. The ambience is cozy and inviting with a touch of rustic charm. I gave the strawberry rhubarb sour cream pie a try and goodness gracious, what a delight! I'm not usually one for pies, but I would gladly have another slice of this sweet and tangy pie. The staff are attentive yet not intrusive, incredibly friendly. We were looked after by Susan (if my memory serves me right!) and she was just lovely. We popped in about an hour before closing and were surprised to see more folks coming in, some traveling from Canmore and others all the way from Drumheller! Definitely worth the journey. I found the prices to be reasonable and the portions very generous. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This place has a charming small-town vibe with its old-school interior decor. The fries were delicious, albeit a tad salty, but the beef melt was absolutely scrumptious.
Debra Cooper (2025-08-03, 3:23 a.m.):
Oh, mate, let me tell you about this place I went to for brekkie. It was an absolute pearler of an experience! The menu was chock-a-block with bloody good choices, had me proper struggling to pick just one thing. Ended up going for a classic breakfast and it was spot on. Huge portion, plate piled high with tucker and a decent serve of bacon, can't fault that, mate. The vibes in there were top-notch too, real rustic and cozy-like, made the whole meal even better. If you're after a ripper feed in a top-notch setting, this place is a real corker. And hey, don't worry about the photo, happens to the best of us, eh? 😄

I was visiting town today and decided to grab a bite to eat. Let me tell you, the service at Chuckwagon Cafe was top-notch as soon as we walked in. The food arrived promptly and was cooked to perfection. It was absolutely delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our server, Genevieve, was an absolute gem. The place is spotless and well-maintained. I highly recommend stopping by Chuckwagon Cafe - I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Well, I must say, as a big fan of TikTok all the way from Toronto, I found myself irresistibly drawn to the delectable offerings of your chuckwagon gals and their scrumptious Alberta beef! Thus, I embarked on a delightful road trip and made a pit stop at your establishment. The culinary treasures I encountered were truly extraordinary. The ambiance was so welcoming that I felt like I belonged there. I highly suggest indulging in the beef melt and barley soup - absolute game-changers!

Just rolled back from a lovely 2-day camping trip in the Sheep River vicinity and caught sight of their quaint road sign at the west edge of town.

Feeling spontaneous, I made a pit stop for breakfast and boy, am I thrilled I did. The coffee was piping hot and fresh, and the breakfast came with the most divine homemade hash browns I've had in years. The eggs, toast, and sausages were spot-on too, and all served with a friendly smile.

This joint exudes an authentic, laid-back vibe, and I felt right at home. Stopping here turned out to be a delightful surprise, and you can bet I'll be swinging by more often.
Cynthia Gonzalez (2025-07-25, 11:43 a.m.):
The food was simply divine, the burger was incredibly juicy and bursting with flavor, and the beef melt was truly unique! The staff was extremely friendly and efficient with their service. I will certainly be returning for more!
Michael Thompson (2025-07-24, 10:43 p.m.):
I must say, this spot is a must for brekkie!! The nosh is top-notch and you can just tell it's all fresh. I went for the small traditional brekkie with bacon, scrambled eggs, and a single pancake. The bacon was extra crispy and the whole dish was cooked to perfection! The fam and the bloke all dug their meals too.

It's a charming little joint with staff who are dead friendly and welcoming! They've got some ace photos and posters dotted around, which was a right laugh to check out whilst waiting for our grub. Service was quick as a flash and our scran arrived swift after ordering.

We'll definitely be back for more. Cheers for keeping the doors open!
Chloe Ortiz (2025-07-23, 3:44 p.m.):
Alright, let's cut to the chase here.
This joint is probably one of the best spots for meat that you'll ever come across.
Their steak is top-notch, a solid 10 out of 10, and their burgers are just as exceptional. 🍔
Everything is made from scratch, which adds that extra homemade touch and makes it all taste amazing. 🙌 😌

Now, when it comes to the prices, a burger will set you back around 30 bucks, while the steak combo goes for about 40.
It ain't cheap, but let me tell you, it's worth every penny.
