Incredibly delicious food! I've been coming to this place since I was a child, and now at 29, I'm bringing my daughter here. Having lunch at this restaurant has truly helped me cope with my father's recent passing. The staff was incredibly kind and supportive. Thank you so much 💜

Oh my, that burger and beef dip were absolutely scrumptious!

Lovely café with a fabulous Western vibe. I particularly enjoyed the various brands adorning the walls of the café. The staff were well-informed and attentive, not to mention incredibly friendly. The food was superb, I was torn between a classic burger and a quesadilla. I wholeheartedly suggest making a visit.

I must say, this restaurant was quite the letdown! Despite all the hype from my mates, our visit left much to be desired. We popped in early one fine Sunday morning, managed to snag a table without a fuss, and were seated promptly. The service at the outset was top-notch, with our coffees and beverages arriving in no time.

So far, so good.

After perusing the menu, I went for the Sunday Special (AAA Filet Eggs Benedict), my dad opted for the Traditional Breakfast with Beef Sausage, and my lad chose a buttermilk pancake. With stomachs rumbling, we were primed for a splendid brekkie.

The presentation was spot on, and our excitement mounted as our dishes arrived. My son wasted no time tucking into his pancake and appeared to relish it. Dad and I started with the hashbrowns, which looked divine—and they didn’t disappoint. Despite their small size, those hashbrowns were scrumptious, leading us to believe the rest of the meal would be just as satisfying.

Alas, it was not to be.

Dad found the eggs in his Traditional Breakfast lacking in flavor, the toast so-so, and the beef sausage had an odd, nearly rancid taste. My Eggs Benedict were an even bigger letdown. The filet was devoid of seasoning, and instead of the usual English muffin, it was served on a soggy croissant that was downright inedible. I asked for toast instead of the croissant and brought up the issue with our server, who quipped, “That’s just how we do things here; folks have different taste buds.” Goodness me! Being well-acquainted with the hospitality trade, I know a more fitting response would have been something like, “We apologize that your meal isn’t to your liking. Can we offer you something else?”

The cherry on top was what came after. Dad's upset stomach from the wonky beef sausage meant he couldn't stomach a scrap for the rest of the day. Regrettably, that lackluster breakfast ended up being his only meal.

Definitely not worth shelling out $70 for a subpar breakfast, I'd say.

I would rate this place 5 stars. The staff exuded high vibes and positivity. The service was fantastic and I had a great time during my visit. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. My family and I absolutely loved the food. It's the tastiest beef melt I've ever had! My dad tried the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and couldn't get enough of it - he finished it in one go because it was just that good! The owner was so lovely and welcoming, I wish I had asked for her name. We will definitely be returning! 🥰

We absolutely adored the cozy, small-town vibe of the Café. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. While we felt that the seasoning on the burger and fries was a tad overpowering, the overall experience was fantastic!

The most excellent Steak and Eggs in Alberta! Tender, juicy, and marbled fats that added so much flavor. It arrives on a bed of hash, toasts, and a couple of eggs. Truly worth the value. The Flat Iron Steak Benny was the star of the show as well! A savory tender steak atop a buttery croissant, covered with poached eggs and blanketed by hollandaise sauce. However, I reckon the overall experience wouldn't have been as perfect if not for the top-notch service of the front crew, especially Jen (if memory serves me right), who's super cheerful, swift, attentive to all her customers, and delightful to chat with. The best part was when she offered us a bucket of toys for our little nipper. That was sweet and considerate of her. What a splendid little diner this is. I am most certainly returning for more brunches!

This charming country diner is a true gem, adorned with nostalgic Alberta beef posters and staffed by welcoming waitresses who greet you with a delightful country twang. If you're looking to treat a friend to the authentic small-town diner experience, this is the spot to bring them.
Mark Torres (2025-08-28, 11:01 a.m.):
This spot was just splendid! Delightful, warm, terrific service. Opted for the Tenderloin Sandwich with Fries and Homemade Beef Gravy, and let me tell you, it was hands down the finest dish I've savored during my time in Alberta. Alberta beef is simply INCREDIBLE, and I don't think I can go back to Ontario beef now 🤣 Many thanks for everything. It was scrumptious and faultless! STRONGLY RECOMMEND!
Dennis White (2025-08-25, 3:58 p.m.):
Absolutely worth the charming drive from Calgary! The wait on a Sunday afternoon was quite reasonable, and the service was delightful. Definitely value for money. We enjoyed a hearty cheeseburger, generously topped with traditional bacon, and a delicious traditional sausage. To top it off, we indulged in a decadent slice of coconut cream pie.
Philip Ramirez (2025-08-23, 8:47 p.m.):
Marvelous spot. My mates and I swung by for brekkie.
The grub was simply divine. The ribeye steak was a standout, incredibly succulent and cooked just right.
The service was top-notch as well.
We're already planning our next visit. Cheers!
Philip Diaz (2025-08-21, 3:26 p.m.):
Outstanding grub and top-notch service! Came by after a jaunt at Sheep River, and let me tell ya, it was one of the finest classic burgers I've ever sunk my teeth into!
The old lady opted for the barley soup and reckoned she'd make the trek from Calgary just for another bowl.
Count on us making a return visit, no doubt about it!
Bruce Edwards (2025-08-20, 9:23 a.m.):
The service was absolutely brilliant, I must say! The restaurant was packed to the brim, yet the service was swift and top-notch. My partner and I decided to split a dish as we weren't very hungry, and the chef kindly divided it into two generous portions for us. I would definitely give this place a thumbs up!
Cheryl Sanders (2025-08-20, 3:46 a.m.):
Just had a splendid breakfast at this charming diner! The ambiance was absolutely delightful and the service top-notch. I can't recommend the steak eggs benedict, salmon eggs benedict, and the freshly squeezed orange juice enough - simply fantastic!
Susan Barnes (2025-08-13, 1:11 p.m.):
A splendid red barn spot for breakfast with charming country-style interior features. This establishment has garnered acclaim for their burgers, and they truly lived up to the hype. Don't overlook their breakfast options if you're not craving a burger, and be sure to sample their homemade pies. These delectable treats have a limited availability, so it's advisable to arrive promptly to secure your preferred flavors. I am definitely planning to revisit this place in order to explore more of their menu offerings.
Dennis Robinson (2025-08-13, 8:16 a.m.):
Our dining experience at Chuckwagon Cafe today was absolutely delightful, we were so eager to dig in that we completely forgot to snap any photos! 😄

We savored the House Burger, bursting with savory grilled onions, mushrooms, crispy bacon, gooey cheese, and all the trimmings. In addition, we couldn't resist the AAA Alberta Beef Tenderloin Steak and eggs, expertly prepared to a tee.

Despite the lengthy wait due to the bustling crowd, the experience was truly worth it. The team members were incredibly warm and it was evident that they take pride in their craft.

I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment for a scrumptious dining affair!
Sean Myers (2025-08-13, 6:39 a.m.):
The highlight of our experience at Chuckwagon was definitely our server. She was absolutely lovely! So friendly, attentive, and really went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We were a party of 7 and, fortunately, everyone else seemed to thoroughly enjoy their meals. However, my flat steak Benny left much to be desired. The steak arrived cold, the cheese sauce lacked flavor, and the croissant was disappointingly mushy. Despite my less than stellar dish, the rest of my companions seemed satisfied with their meals. On a brighter note, the hash special was quite enjoyable.
Andrea Gutierrez (2025-08-11, 7:32 a.m.):
I popped into this charming eatery and was absolutely blown away by the warm and inviting atmosphere. I decided to belly up to the counter and indulged in a rancher's breakfast that truly hit the spot. The ham, bacon, and sausage were bursting with flavor, and each bite was a delightful surprise. I believe I had the pleasure of being served by the owner herself, who showered me with hospitality and made me feel right at home, just like visiting my own mother. The establishment exuded a sense of history and unique character that only enhanced its already cozy ambiance.
