It has been a year since the last review, high time for an update! Oh my goodness, Kee is absolutely fantastic in the kitchen. Without a doubt, the best restaurant in town. The cheeseburgers are unparalleled, simply the best ever. There isn't a single item on this menu that I haven't enjoyed, and I have never had to send an order back! I truly believe they offer the best prices in town, you will not be disappointed. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so I recommend getting there early. Be sure to check their Facebook page for any specials. A+ experience all around!

The food was absolutely brilliant, truly tasted like a homemade meal! The chicken strips for the kiddos were proper slices of chicken breast, hand-breaded and fried to perfection. The service was top-notch, and the coffee was simply delightful. Had a lovely experience, and much appreciated the tolerance towards my rowdy youngsters. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Our first time at this restaurant and it certainly won't be our last! My meal was brought out to my car, piping hot and fresh! It was absolutely delicious! I ordered the roasted chicken with loaded fries and let me tell you, it was fantastic! The chicken was a bit larger than the bun, which made it a bit messy to eat, but that's my only small criticism and it wasn't really an issue. I am thrilled with the experience! My husband went for the hot beef and he was just as happy with his meal! We arrived close to closing time and decided to dine in the parking lot since they closed before we finished. I couldn't go back in to thank the chef, but I really wanted to! Fantastic job!! We'll definitely be returning next time we're in Bancroft!

The ambiance is just bursting with energy and warmth. The owner is an absolute gem - a diligent and gracious individual. I opted for the fried country chicken lunch and it was simply delectable. Surprisingly, my partner had leftovers - which rarely happens... Not because the food wasn't up to standard, but because the portion size and quality were impeccable. We will definitely be returning for more.

Popped in for a spot of brekkie after a chillaxed time over at the nearby Silent Lake Provincial Park. The outside of this joint may not catch your eye, but let me tell ya, the nosh and service more than make up for it. I went for the Big Eagle brekkie, while the missus opted for the grilled chicken breast sarnie. Both were top-notch and brought out in a jiffy. We'll definitely be back for more.

Oh, I must say, it's quite rare to find someone who can coax a smile out of our shy little 4-year-old, no matter how well-meaning they may be. But the gentleman who waited on us at the Eagles Nest managed to elicit a wholehearted giggle from her! His friendliness truly knew no bounds.
And let me tell you, the food is always spot on – consistently delectable and served with lightning speed by the attentive staff. I'm already looking forward to our next visit.

The finest grub in town served by the friendliest folks around. Top-notch eats at a bargain of a price.
Zachary Myers (2025-06-27, 2:53 p.m.):
Let me tell you, mate, this restaurant is top notch. The grub? A solid 5/5. The service? Top marks, 5/5. And the vibes in there? A perfect 5/5. The bloke running the show is a real sweetheart, I could fly in from Toronto just to chow down here.
Eagle's Nest, now that's a proper find! We tucked into some Eggs Benedict, and they sorted us out with a salad instead of chips, complete with this cracking raspberry vinaigrette. And don't get me started on the ice cream sandwich, it was bang on.

Lovely little restaurant, perfect for a hearty breakfast before setting off on our camping adventure. Just what we needed, delicious food at reasonable prices.
Carolyn Perez (2025-06-25, 4:53 a.m.):
We 'ad supper and brekkie and all we can say is WOW! The chef was exceptional and 'is missus was beyond reproach. Service was top-notch. The grub was simply outstanding. The sauces were made from scratch, not off-the-shelf. The chips were spot on. Morning cuppa was lovely. My missus and I will definitely be back to this dining establishment. As I said when passin' through the kitchen, GREAT JOB CHEF!
Carol Scott (2025-06-24, 2:47 a.m.):
Great spot for breakfast, quick and efficient service. Generous portions and convenient parking available at the back of the restaurant.
George Gutierrez (2025-06-23, 11:33 a.m.):
We endeavored to visit this establishment twice, once on a Saturday and once on a Thursday at two in the afternoon. The place was abuzz with activity. Alas, we were unable to secure a table on both occasions. Despite there being an available table, it seemed to be earmarked for a reservation. It was exasperating to linger in the vestibule unacknowledged for 10-15 minutes during our initial attempt and for 5 minutes during our subsequent endeavor.
Kathryn Moore (2025-06-22, 1:51 a.m.):
Top spot for brekkie! The server was polite and swift in getting our table sorted. nosh was spot on and didn't break the bank. Definitely will pop by again!
Sara King (2025-06-20, 9:06 p.m.):
I absolutely adored this establishment. The folks at the restaurant inquired if it was my maiden visit, and the entire staff began suggesting delectable dishes. It felt akin to dining at home with cherished family members. I highly endorse this spot for anyone venturing to Bancroft. Cheers!
Diane Hernandez (2025-06-20, 8:32 p.m.):
I'm absolutely thrilled that I decided to try out this charming hidden gem. The innovative takes on classic comfort dishes were a delightful surprise. The grilled cheese and tomato soup were hands down the best I've ever tasted. The owners radiate kindness and hospitality. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

On a Friday evening, cruising through town with 2 more hours of driving ahead, we decided to stop for a bite around 6 o'clock. I opted for the famous hamburger with gravy, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. My wife went for the chicken sandwich with fries and gravy. The service was prompt, the food was scrumptious, and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Brittany Young (2025-06-17, 7:50 p.m.):
We popped in for a spot of lunch on the 8th of August, 2019. Top-notch service and the grub was all lovingly homemade.
The missus went for the eggs Benedict, while I opted for the beef dip accompanied by a side of fries - Absolutely scrumptious!
If you're around the area or passing through, make sure to swing by. It's well worth deviating off the beaten path of Hwy 28!
Kathryn Alexander (2025-06-16, 10:46 p.m.):
This eatery is absolutely brilliant! The passion and care put into every dish is evident. With just seven cozy tables, it feels incredibly homely. The menu boasts a delightful array of homemade delights, from fresh-cut fries and hearty burgers to schnitzel and delectable soups. Each dish is presented beautifully, making for a truly memorable dining experience. I can't wait to sample more of their offerings - this place is a gem!

Delightful fare! Impeccable service! Our latest go-to spot for dining. We used to frequent BC Cafe, but ever since it changed hands, the food quality has been inconsistent and the prices have risen significantly. I don't believe it's a good value for the money. During our most recent visit, my husband and I ordered clubhouse sandwiches with a side, which came to $54.
On the contrary, we dined at Eagles Nest and enjoyed two complete dinners for just a tad over $30, and the dishes were absolutely splendid.
Mia Smith (2025-06-13, 4:44 p.m.):
Not from these parts, but I just had to swing by this spot after hearing all the buzz. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! 👏❤️ The chicken wrap and onion rings were on another level – the crispiest and biggest onion rings I've laid eyes on, and not a hint of greasiness. Count me in for a return visit, especially since I'm a big fan of supporting local businesses.
