Absolutely brilliant! The top-notch nosh in the area, I must say. Lovely and cozy atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit (and a booking).

They're open certain days throughout the year, and also serve lunches or brunches during certain seasons. We opted for the set menu for dinner. Every dish was superb — fresh, innovative, and perfectly executed. Comparable to the finest farm-to-table spots in Nova Scotia, but with a more pocket-friendly price point!

A splendid spot in the midst of nature offering delectable dishes (with ingredients freshly harvested on-site) and friendly, flawless service. Definitely a destination worth visiting!

What a brilliant find in the heart of the Bas-St-Laurent countryside! The rustic restaurant at the La Ruche project is a real gem, nestled away from the touristy spots along the 132. At first glance, it's hard to know what to expect. However, the dining room and the terrace overlooking the forest are truly delightful discoveries, offering a cozy and serene atmosphere. For lunch, we indulged in some eggs benedict, complete with a homemade English muffin that could have been a tad less toasted, but the toppings, featuring caramelized pork, were absolutely divine! The lattes were excellent as well. We're already planning our return for the 5-course meal, this time without the kids ;)

Absolutely smashing! One of the top-notch eateries in the Matane/Rimouski area, I must say. While the wine selection was a tad scarce when we dined there, fear not as they more than make up for it with a splendid array of craft brews and delectable dishes featuring locally-sourced ingredients. A truly fabulous find, if I do say so myself. You simply must make a pitstop here! Cheers!

I seldom write reviews, but let me tell you, this establishment is exceptional in my humble opinion.

My lady and I were brimming with excitement and had set our expectations quite high for Projet La Ruche, and let me tell you, their brunch completely exceeded them! The service from the delightful waitress Gabrielle was impeccable. She not only provided excellent wine recommendations (do give the Queen mom orange wine a try, it's simply marvelous), but also served fresh and delectable fare in a charming setting on their meticulously arranged outdoor terrace. It was an absolutely flawless dining experience at a very reasonable price considering the quality and quantity of food offered at their country table (even though we may have been a tad guilty of ordering the entire menu!)

We will most certainly be returning during our next trip to Bas St-Laurent!!
Kelly Hayes (2025-06-08, 6:58 a.m.):
The food 'ere is proper tasty, the service top notch. A jolly good atmosphere and the prices are quite reasonable, I must say.

We spent three nights at the inn. We were initially captivated by the elegance of the structure and the eco-friendly ethos of its architecture. The clean and luminous design fosters a sense of tranquility and peace. The cuisine is exquisite, presenting farm-fresh and locally sourced ingredients in a wonderfully inventive manner. A locale where our green principles and regional culinary tastes align harmoniously. It's splendid, it's rejuvenating, it's scrumptious. What more could one ask for!
Dennis Fisher (2025-06-05, 3:04 p.m.):
What a smashing culinary adventure! Would definitely do it again without any qualms. Cheers!
Nathan King (2025-06-04, 9:53 p.m.):
Outstanding dinner! The use of local produce is truly celebrated, revealing new and exciting flavors. The vegetables are impeccably prepared and presented. A standout dish was the "salad" featuring fiddleheads. The warm welcome was particularly appreciated; we wish the project all the best! One small French quirk: we longed for bread on the table (although this may be a cultural difference, as we wanted to savor those delectable sauces).
Jordan Myers (2025-06-03, 8:19 p.m.):
A splendid spot to savor a truly delectable meal. One wouldn't have guessed, given the slightly challenging location and air of mystery surrounding it. The fare is upscale, featuring farm-fresh ingredients that guarantee both freshness and originality to delight your palate!
Roy Price (2025-06-03, 9:59 a.m.):
What a lovely spot! And oh, the grub was divine. Each plate was carefully crafted, even the humble focaccia was a delight. Top-notch wine pairing too.
Nicole Edwards (2025-06-02, 2:13 p.m.):
Absolutely splendid! I highly recommend indulging in the chef's carte blanche menu!

A truly inspirational and revitalizing gem we stumbled upon during our family travels to Bas St-Laurent and Gaspésie. A meticulously curated gîte and farm that embodies such thoughtfully considered values!
