"Extremely lovely and accommodating."
Diane Collins (2025-05-17, 6:03 p.m.):
This library may be small, but it sure packs a punch.

The abundance of natural light makes it a perfect spot for getting work done or diving into a good read. And the best part? They offer free WiFi without requiring any membership.

Their community initiatives are truly impressive, including resources like a tool library, household goods library, and take-what-you-need hygiene products. They even provide grocery gift cards. And let's not forget the vending machine dispensing free hygiene products in the restroom, as well as diapers for those in need.

To top it all off, they offer grab-and-go arts and crafts for you to enjoy in the comfort of your home.

We popped in so our 7-month-old could stretch his legs and tire himself out before the trek back home. This kids' corner was just the ticket, catering to youngsters up to a few years old. Complete with pint-sized furniture, soft play areas, traditional wooden toys, a couple of child-friendly computer desks, and (naturally) an abundance of books! We're thinking this will become a regular pit stop when we're in Banff with our little ones in tow.
Ruth Lewis (2025-05-16, 7:39 a.m.):
The kids area is fantastic with plenty of toys for the little ones to enjoy. There is a wide selection of computers available for use, and the library also offers non-book items through their innovative "library of things" program. Additionally, there is a bin where you can find free books, a great bonus!
Edward Perry (2025-05-16, 6:19 a.m.):
Oh, what a lovely little library! The librarians were so friendly and welcoming. We're not from around here, just happened to wander in with our little ones while exploring Banff. Even though we couldn't borrow any books, they were having a book sale with a limited selection for just 1 Dollar each. We ended up snagging 8 books - 4 for our children! Such a charming spot.
Abigail Hughes (2025-05-16, 5:21 a.m.):
Wonderful assortment and truly beneficial for the community, I must say.
Patrick Parker (2025-05-14, 12:06 a.m.):
This splendid library is my top spot in town. Upon arrival by car, the parking lot is conveniently situated just across the street (with fees), while cyclists can take advantage of a few bicycle racks located in front of the main entrance. Presently, a minor construction project is underway, causing the main entrance to be temporarily closed; thus, visitors must utilize the side entrance.

The library provides an array of services for the public to enjoy on-site, including:
- Complimentary use of computers for 30 minutes.
- Restrooms equipped with a changing station and stocked with baby and personal hygiene supplies, free of charge.
- Access to books and reading/study tables.

Residing in the Valley has its perks, as one can sign up for a FREE Trac membership (library network). The registration process is quick and easy, requiring only a Government Issued ID and proof of address. This membership grants individuals the ability to request books from any library within the network and have them delivered here. Additionally, members can borrow various items such as home tools, computers, digital materials, and more.

The library staff are not only courteous but also well-informed. If you find yourself in Banff, a visit to the library should undoubtedly be on your itinerary.

Truly the loveliest folks you will ever come across. A splendid library, indeed. Cozy and serene atmosphere. Their printing service is remarkably swift and efficient. I wholeheartedly endorse it.

This public library is absolutely delightful, with a wide selection of pertinent books, complimentary Wi-Fi access, and an abundance of public computers. The children's area is particularly charming, and they even have a dedicated section specifically for teens and young adult literature.
