I went on the web/app and saw the price reduced. When I got to the store, the price was not reduced. They wouldn't match the price listed online, so I ended up shopping on Amazon instead.

UPDATE: Attention all shoppers - a word to the wise when purchasing items from Canadian Tire that require gasoline to operate. If you find that the item is not in working order after adding gas and wish to pursue an exchange or return, be aware that you may encounter complications. A recent incident involving a $5400 mower, which had been in our possession for less than 2 hours, revealed that Canadian Tire's responsibility ends once fuel has been added. It is now incumbent upon us to locate a Husqvarna dealer who may honor the warranty. Despite our purchase being made at Canadian Tire and the short duration of ownership, the onus is now squarely on us.

I always find meself strugglin' to locate what l need when l visit this establishment. I was in need of transmission fluid for me motor carriage and all they had were those Motomaster brands. Never again will l be usin' any Canadian Tire oils in me vehicles, mark me words.

I was also in the market for a grass trimmer, but all they had were those flimsy toy models that would surely break within a fortnight. In me honest opinion, it's nothin' more than an expensive, overpriced dollar store.

Utterly dreadful experience. Was completely taken advantage of during a basic car safety inspection. They insisted on unnecessary additional work before proceeding with the safety check. The initial quote for a simple inspection was $650, felt like daylight robbery. I have absolutely no intention of returning to CT for any future car needs. Unscrupulous individuals.

When my husband's truck got a flat tire on the side of the highway (just 5 minutes from Canadian Tire), Mark and his team went above and beyond to help us. They not only installed our spare tire so we could make it to our early morning appointment at the shop, but they also assisted us in choosing the perfect winter tires for our truck and had them mounted the very same day! The service was incredibly quick and truly exceptional. It's rare to come across such dedicated employees these days, and this experience made me so happy that I will definitely be a repeat customer. After a rather lengthy wait, we were informed that they were unable to locate the correct parts for our van, despite having made several attempts to order them. Understandable, these things can happen. However, we were left with quite an unpleasant surprise - the underside of the car sustained significant damage, with a sizable dent and cracked metal falling off on both sides.

Naturally, they claimed it wasn't their fault and attributed the damage to Canadian Tire in Renfrew, where we had been the day before. I have my doubts about this, as the impact marks in the dust appeared fresh and would likely have been washed away by the rain overnight. They also tried to excuse the situation by pointing out the age of the van (2003), as if that somehow lessens the severity of the damage - a dent is a dent, and we don't expect our vehicle to come out worse off after visiting a repair shop.

To add insult to injury, the garage we were towed to in Ottawa couldn't fathom why Canadian Tire had trouble finding the parts, as they too had to order them but encountered no issues in locating the right ones.

Do not purchase EGO products - I have noticed that CT is currently stocking EGO battery-powered lawn equipment. As someone who has had a negative experience with EGO, I strongly advise you to check BBB and Trustpilot for some truly concerning reviews. I wish I had done so before purchasing. And let me tell you, those ratings are well-deserved. It's disappointing to see that CT is now carrying EGO products. Brace yourself for some frustrated customers at the return counter...
Update - There's no need to contact CT headquarters to share my "experience" with EGO. Simply visit Trustpilot and search for EGOPOWERPLUS to read through a plethora of complaints. My own review from over a year ago is there, and it seems the situation has only deteriorated. Take a look at Trustpilot for a realistic perspective on the challenges victims face when trying to make warranty claims or obtain service and spare parts in general. Once again, I am taken aback that CT has chosen to go down this path.
