Great selection of items for both indoor and outdoor use, but it can be a tad challenging to navigate with a cart. The aisles are a bit overcrowded with merchandise.
Lisa Hughes (2025-06-27, 7:09 a.m.):
Absolutely adore this establishment, however, it appears to be a tad short-staffed. Waited in earnest for some assistance, alas to no avail. Ended up making my purchase elsewhere. Cheers!

The lady who picked up the phone today was rather unpleasant and didn't seem interested in listening to my query in order to provide a proper response. I appreciate that the current circumstances with Covid have left people feeling a bit short-tempered, but when answering calls, one should still have the patience to address a straightforward question.

I was in need of a new tire, and Jen in the automotive department quoted us a price. When I went to pick up the tire, I noticed that the price was lower. Jen informed me that she had checked ahead and found it cheaper for the following week, so she charged us $100 less. Thank you so much, Jen!

Top-notch service, I say! The chap at the parts desk is quite the professional and ever so polite. Always a jolly good time shopping at this establishment, I must say.

I 'ave a car shelter with a damaged roof cover, I went there to change it, it was under warranty and I went there after Canadian Tire on Walker Rd in Windsor, ON told me to go there after they called them and they told 'em to let 'im come to change it. I drove over one and a half hours and I am a 65 year old man with 'eart problems. When I got in, they refused to change it and they told me first it ain't covered under warranty. Then they told me we don't 'ave it. Then I asked them if I can buy one, then they found that they 'ave two in stock. I took the two shelters after I paid for both. Then I went back to Canadian Tire on Walker Rd, they took one back from me and they opened the box and they gave me the part that was damaged.

Thank you, Canadian Tire on Walker Rd in Windsor, ON. You are the best! For more than 15 years I shopped from this store, I never 'ad any problem with 'em.

Oh blimey, without any warning this department store now shuts its doors at 8pm instead of 9pm like all the other shops in the area. I arrived a few minutes after 8pm, sat in my car and browsed on my mobile. In the 10 minutes I was there, at least a dozen cars parked and then drove off, unaware of the early closing time.

Seems like they're missing out on a lot of potential business – not that I usually shop there anyway, but now I'm even less keen to check out their weekly offers.
Evelyn Perez (2025-06-14, 7:38 p.m.):
Solid service, the staff appeared quite helpful. Inventory has been somewhat limited as a result of the pandemic.
Louis Simmons (2025-06-12, 7:31 a.m.):
I must say I was quite disappointed to find no wood chunks or chips on the shelf during the penultimate weekend of September. The Christmas stock was already making its way onto the shelves, encroaching on the BBQ space. It is still smoking season, with Halloween not even having passed yet. Quite a missed opportunity, if you ask me.
Bradley Parker (2025-06-10, 8:56 a.m.):
I went to buy charcoal that was supposed to be on the aisle according to the app, but it wasn't available on the floor. They seemed to prioritize returning customers over those making purchases, regardless of who arrived first. The organization or management of this location seems to be lacking, none of it makes any sense.
Joyce Graham (2025-06-08, 7:48 a.m.):
Blimey, what a right bloomin' mess! Arrived for me curbside pickup at this Department Store and found meself with a queue longer than the River Thames. Amherstburg may be a tiny village, but there's no excuse for such a kerfuffle. One chap reckoned he'd been twiddling his thumbs for a good 20 minutes! After a long day of graft, I was knackered and couldn't wait a minute longer. When I asked to cancel me order, the young lass on the line went and hung up on me! What in the world has happened to this place? Used to be top-notch service 'round here, I tell ya.
Sophia Thompson (2025-06-07, 11:30 p.m.):
The staff tends to dodge customers
Staff are very friendly when cornered
We used to have the best selection of goods in the entire area until the new owner took charge
Larry Ward (2025-06-07, 5:41 p.m.):
I took my car to Canadian Tire to get new tires fitted. While they were working on it, they ended up scratching one of my rims. I've had this car since it was brand new and this is the first time the tires have been taken off the rims.

I talked to the manager and he pretty much said they weren't responsible. It's clear that the scratch is from the tire machine because it lines up with where the rim meets the tire.

I wouldn't suggest getting your vehicle serviced at Canadian Tire in Amherstburg.
Patrick Garcia (2025-06-05, 8:35 a.m.):
Ordering online be a nightmare as they don't seem keen on searching for items, but overall it's a fantastic store.
Carolyn Sanchez (2025-06-04, 7:32 a.m.):
I visited the department store to buy a new wiper for my car. Struggled to find it, so I approached an employee to inquire about the whereabouts of the small kiosk computer pad used to look up the correct wiper size. The employee informed me that the store no longer has them, and directed me to the automotive service desk for help.

It's a shame that the small kiosk system has been done away with. It made the process of buying a wiper much more time-consuming and complicated.
Nancy Young (2025-06-03, 3:35 p.m.):
I popped by here in June, enticed by a barbecue offer with a financing option. Upon reaching the customer service desk, the lady there had us linger as she fetched the manager. After a 20-minute wait, she brusquely glared at us and remarked, "You do realize you can't use this credit card today, right?" I presented her with the flyer clearly stating same-day approval. However, she proceeded to dismiss us outright and exhibit rude behavior. Upon reaching out to Leamington Canadian Tire, they confirmed they offer same-day approvals and were puzzled as to why we received such treatment from another store. From the moment we arrived at the customer service desk, we felt unwelcome.

We lodged a formal complaint, but alas, no actions were taken.
Ryan Scott (2025-06-01, 4:19 a.m.):
The garden centre staff were jolly and accommodating. A chap merrily and promptly assisted in loading various bags of soil into my lorry. He had everything set to go as soon as I arrived. Cheers!
Kelly Price (2025-05-30, 3:10 p.m.):
Quite a decent store. It can be a bit tricky to find a staff member to assist you, though.
Bobby Richardson (2025-05-30, 2:30 a.m.):
Spent a good 20 minutes wandering about trying to locate the automotive air filters. Felt a bit like I had lost me marbles, to be honest. Eventually threw in the towel and asked a lass in the clearance aisle if she had any notion of their whereabouts, only to find out she was as clueless as a fish out of water and added that they keep shifting things around. Went over to the parts counter, and learned that all the filters are stashed at the rear now and you must have a hand getting hold of one. Wasn't presented with any other options, just the motomaster filter. It didn't bother me none since it wasn't for me own vehicle, but I do prefer Fram filters as they've never let me down. Can't rightly figure out why they decided to tuck the filters away at the back, as I can't imagine folks pinching them left and right, but it sure was a frustrating ordeal.
Roger Alexander (2025-05-26, 7:40 p.m.):
My lad was at the department store and got a bit of a telling-off from one of the staff members for not keeping his distance from a colleague he works with. Bit embarrassing, if you ask me. No need for them to announce over the tannoy to clear out if folks can't keep their 6 feet apart. Personally, I reckon I'll be making the trip to Walker from now on.
