Quite a letdown indeed. I brought my grandmother to this cafe a few weeks past, having perused the online menu beforehand, thinking it’d be a splendid choice for a leisurely weekend breakfast after some shopping, with prices seeming quite fair. The establishment was bustling and I patiently queued up for a spell, only to notice that the food prices were markedly higher than what I had seen on sirved.

Upon reaching the counter to order, I was informed that breakfast service had ended at 1 o’clock, it then being 1:10, even though we had specifically selected this place based on the sirved menu indicating breakfast until 3pm. Regrettably, the staff showed no inclination to accommodate.

Reluctantly stepping out of line to explain to my grandma, so she could opt for a lunch dish instead, she settled on a spinach quiche, while I settled for a grilled cheese (rather limited choices for vegetarians, alas). When my grandmother started eating her quiche, she discovered it contained ham instead of spinach. Opting not to make a fuss, she soldiered on, leaving me relieved that I hadn’t chosen the quiche myself, as I would’ve been mortified to inadvertently partake in pig.

The staff, on the whole, seemed brusque and unhelpful. Furthermore, a strong online presence is pivotal for any thriving enterprise, an aspect in which this establishment is sorely lacking. Ensuring an accurate online menu should be a top priority, particularly in the hospitality industry.

My anticipation for this visit swiftly turned to disappointment as I departed feeling disheartened.

It was a delightful cafe with a pastry and sandwich shop, a bit on the pricey side but with a lovely atmosphere.

I could have crafted a superior Earl Grey Matcha Latte in the comfort of my own abode. Perhaps the two ladies manning the counter were swamped by the increasing throng of patrons flocking to the café. Alas, my latte was devoid of sweetness and lacked the desired flavor. Adding insult to injury, as I imbibed my costly yet lackluster latte, chunks of undissolved powder drifted into my mouth, leaving an acrid and displeasing aftertaste. I had eagerly anticipated relishing my steaming beverage, so the letdown was palpable. Regrettably, a return visit is not on the cards for me.

Stepping foot into this Cafe truly is an experience in its own right, simply splendid! The proprietors have spared no expense and have meticulously attended to every detail. It exudes a very cozy, luminous, welcoming, and refined atmosphere. The array of coffee options align perfectly with what one would anticipate in a quaint cafe, and are crafted with precision using fresh beans; as customary in most establishments, you can personalize your coffee with milk, sugar, or sweetener at a separate station. While their food menu may be somewhat limited, the quality of the offerings is exceptional. This holds true for their delectable pastries - which boast a more sophisticated flavor profile, meaning they are not overly sugary. The staff is amicable and efficient. We have frequented this spot on numerous occasions and it has consistently delivered in terms of quality, service, and ambiance. The prices may lean towards the higher end, but the experience is well worth it.

My dear, my in-laws possess a charming lake abode in Amherstburg, and my beloved and I have frequented this establishment since its inception in 2018. The ambiance is quite delightful, the staff exude warmth, and the array of culinary delights and libations is truly extensive. It has firmly established itself as a mainstay during our wanderings along Dalhousie Street, and deservingly so.

Their exceptional desserts consistently hit the mark, the savory offerings are simply scrumptious, and the beverages always hit the spot. If I were to offer a critique, it would be that the prices tend to lean towards the higher end, and service during peak hours—particularly on holidays or in the summer—can be rather languid. However, we approach these instances with an understanding attitude, recognizing that patience is indeed a virtue. Moreover, we take immense pleasure in supporting a local enterprise, especially one that actively contributes to the surrounding community.

What a lovely spot! The interior décor is every girl's dream come true, and the customer service provided by these young ladies is top-notch. The coffee tasted really good and had a delightful citrusy blend, making it a true specialty brew. Thank you for your service and for running such a beautiful business.
Amanda Baker (2025-06-27, 12:21 a.m.):
I absolutely adored the ambiance, and despite the hustle and bustle, they delivered my beverage and meal straight to my table with exceptional customer service. The breakfast panini and toasted marshmallow latte were simply divine! I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the area.
Keith Adams (2025-06-24, 9:38 p.m.):
The coffee be good, mate, but the real stars o' the menu be the soup and the sandwiches, top-notch stuff those are. The kitchen staff be amazin', truly skilled at their craft. The baked goods be downright charming, and the interior be tastefully decorated. It ain't exactly a bargain, but the quality be worth every penny, no doubt about it.
Henry Hamilton (2025-06-23, 6:56 p.m.):
What a lovely place in the town! This is my second visit and I must say, the cafe is spotless with a charming patio, making it the perfect spot to relish this delightful weather. I indulged in the hibiscus beverage twice and it was absolutely delightful. Moreover, the coconut cake was light, fluffy, and oh-so-fresh.
Billy Henderson (2025-06-23, 6:39 p.m.):
Lovely cafe located on the bustling main street of downtown Amherstburg. Their Americanos are a personal favorite of mine, along with their delicious breakfast sandwiches. For a more laid-back experience, I recommend visiting during mid-morning on weekdays. If you thrive on the energetic atmosphere of cafes, then weekends are perfect for you. Cheers!
Frank Roberts (2025-06-23, 5:34 a.m.):
The vibe in this café is absolutely smashing, and they've got a load of scrumptious homemade treats. I'll have one of each, please!

My go-to option is their London Fog, but truth be told, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Randy Sanders (2025-06-21, 10:30 a.m.):
Top-notch cuisine, impeccable service, and a delightful ambiance! I never miss an opportunity to visit when I'm nearby.
Brittany Hill (2025-06-18, 12:05 p.m.):
This edifice once housed a printing press for newspapers. The publication in question was the Amherstburg Echo, a weekly periodical.

I find it rather charming that a café now occupies this space.

The ambiance at this establishment is delightful. It's so quaint and relaxed.

Their pastries are absolutely stunning, especially the cookies! During Pride Month, they offered four petite rainbow cookies spelling out "Love," which I thought was fantastic!

The décor contributes to the cozy and charming vibe of the place.

The staff members are incredibly kind, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visits here.
Christian Martinez (2025-06-18, 11:26 a.m.):
Lovely little cafe that is independently owned. I treated myself to a refreshing iced dirty tiger spice chai latte and a delightful sugar cookie cheesecake. Both were absolutely amazing! 😍 Although, it was a tad pricey, but that's to be expected in today's economy.
Gary Ford (2025-06-17, 3:49 a.m.):
Lovely spot. The architecture, decor, and kitchen are splendid. The espresso was top-notch, and so were the carrot cake and apple fritter muffin.

Located in the heart of historic Amherstburg, this is a fantastic destination to visit!
David Morgan (2025-06-13, 7:12 a.m.):
This place is absolutely charming! The decor and ambience are simply delightful. The team was fantastic, the coffee was top-notch, and the cheesecake was truly heavenly.
Julie Harris (2025-06-12, 5:24 p.m.):
I'm a regular customer at this café and I've spent quite a bit of money here. Typically, I have no complaints about the coffee or food. However, after my experience yesterday, I felt compelled to leave a review. On Saturday, May 25th, there were two younger girls working. The service was exceptionally poor. One girl, who was taking orders, seemed more focused on chatting with her friend than getting the orders right, as she kept forgetting ingredients due to the distraction. Meanwhile, the other girl, preparing the coffee, was engaged in a slow conversation with either her boyfriend or a friend, resulting in an extremely slow service. It was a busy Saturday evening, and these girls were both distracted and working at a snail's pace. I waited for 10 minutes for a small coffee. This level of service is unacceptable. I would suggest that they socialize with friends off the clock.
Edward Hughes (2025-06-12, 5:46 a.m.):
The ambiance and vibe are fantastic! We had a mocha and a cappuccino, but they weren't quite hot enough. It's the second time this has happened. We decided to give it another try, but were disappointed once more. Hopefully, in the future, they will serve "hot" drinks that are truly hot, as we'd love to return. I trust you'll take this feedback constructively. Thank you.
Russell Morris (2025-06-12, 1:06 a.m.):
This is me second time visiting this Café, and I must say, it was an absolutely splendid experience, reminiscent of me first visit. They 'ave a marvelous array of desserts, and I strongly suggest giving the gluten-free brownies a go – they simply melt in your gob. The staff are remarkably polite, and an added bonus is the complimentary parking available right next to the café.
Wayne James (2025-06-11, 2:50 a.m.):
Popped in for a cuppa and a bite...had a bit of an unpleasant time. Dropped them a message but crickets. Their crew just left me there at the counter to natter with each other, then everyone dashed out to fawn over a pup while I twiddled my thumbs. They returned, didn't even bother with a wash-up, carried on chatting as I waited for my brews. We grabbed our grub to go as I saw one of them wiping her peepers and then capping my hubby's dark roast. Second and final stop for me. A tad steep for what they're peddling. The Panateria is just down yonder and their baked goodies are top-notch, though no java. (Tim Horton's will do the job)
