We 'ave just recently started, and my two children are 'aving such a positive experience. After sendin' our oldest daughter to Sylvan, she is beginnin' to read more at 'ome and applies what she is learnin'. For example, she taught 'er younger brother about prefixes and suffixes. Also, she 'as more confidence with 'er readin' comprehension. Before we started, she would skip the words or ask for 'elp. Now, she is makin' more of an effort to sound out the words. As a parent, this is such a priceless experience to see 'er grow academically and increase 'er self-esteem. She also 'as more confidence with 'er readin' comprehension.
My son's learnin' experience 'as also been rewardin' and 'is printin' 'as definitely improved. The print books are 'elpin' with 'is characters properly and 'as gradually increased 'is readin' literacy. Durin' our readin' times, he would make up words or move on. Now, 'e is learnin' to read by decodin' the words.
