I must say, my experience with RTS was quite disappointing. I brought in my late father's and late son's tax documents on March 27th, assuming that everything was taken care of. However, when I contacted the CRA on Monday, they informed me that only a T3 payment had been received, not my son's taxes. Upon visiting RTS to collect my father's paperwork, I discovered that his taxes had not even been looked at. Thanks to a helpful CRA representative, I was able to file his taxes on time over the phone.
Despite reassurances from RTS that my father's taxes would be handled, I am now facing a late penalty due to complications with the co-signor on his estate account being out of the country. The suggestion from the front desk attendant that the CRA is always slow in updating taxes seemed like a poor excuse. I have recommended RTS to many in the past, but after this experience, I will not be doing so again. Disappointing, to say the least.
