Exploring Metro Plus Beaconsfield: A Local Grocery Gem

Located in Beaconsfield, Quebec, Metro Plus is a supermarket that caters to the diverse needs of the local community. With its wide range of offerings, from fresh produce to organic food selections, it has become a popular choice for residents. However, like any grocery store, it has its highlights and challenges.

Accessibility and Service Options

Metro Plus Beaconsfield boasts a wheelchair-accessible entrance and wheelchair-accessible car park, making it convenient for all shoppers. The store is designed to ensure easy navigation, with wide aisles and clear signage, which is particularly beneficial for seniors and families with young children. Additionally, customers can take advantage of various service options, including in-store pick-up and no-contact delivery, catering to those who prefer shopping from home.

Quality of Produce and Food Offerings

One of the standout features of Metro Plus is its great produce section. Many customers praise the freshness and quality of fruits and vegetables available. The store also offers a variety of metal cans and packaged goods, catering to different dietary needs, including gluten-free and organic options. Shoppers often highlight the impressive bakery and fantastic fish section, noting the quality of salmon and other seafood products. However, there have been concerns regarding the consistency of freshness. Some customers reported receiving spoiled or expired items, indicating a need for improvement in inventory management and product labeling. Regular checks could help maintain the high standard of products that customers expect.

Payment Methods

Metro Plus Beaconsfield accepts various payment methods, including debit cards, which adds convenience for shoppers. However, it's worth noting that certain items may be cash only, so customers are encouraged to check payment options before their visit to avoid any inconvenience.

Customer Service Experience

The overall customer service experience at Metro Plus varies, with many employees praised for their friendliness and willingness to assist shoppers. On the other hand, some reviews pointed out instances of poor customer service at the checkout lines, where cashiers were not attentive or courteous. Consistent training and emphasis on customer interaction could enhance the shopping experience significantly.

Environmental Practices and Recycling

There's an increasing awareness among consumers about the importance of recycling and sustainable practices. While some customers noted a lack of recycling machines for metal cans, others called for the store to improve its environmental initiatives. The management is encouraged to consider integrating more eco-friendly practices and encouraging customers to participate in sustainability efforts.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, Metro Plus Beaconsfield is a solid grocery store option for residents in the area, offering a wide array of products and accessibility features. While the store has received mixed feedback regarding cleanliness and customer service, its strengths include a well-stocked produce section and diverse food offerings. As with any supermarket, planning your visit, being aware of payment methods, and checking product freshness can lead to a more satisfying shopping experience.

On Friday, September 29th, I purchased a pre-made Caesar salad and discovered a snail inside! Completely unacceptable. The salad is prepared by an employee, so there is no excuse for the lettuce not being washed properly!

Great spot, tidy supermarket but prices just don't stack up against the competition.
Brandon Hill (2025-08-13, 7:23 a.m.):
The products at this shop are always top-notch quality. The staff doesn't hassle you but is quite knowledgeable if you have any queries.
Layla Ross (2025-08-12, 2:19 p.m.):
The lack of fresh produce, poor quality, this supermarket used to be top-notch but now the overall product quality has suffered, and the cleanliness of the store has declined.

One of the finest Butchers/Meat counters you'll come across on the West Island, boasting an exceptional selection of cuts. The young staff is top-notch, providing excellent service with a politeness that's truly commendable.
Sarah Sanchez (2025-08-09, 8:47 a.m.):
Superb assortment of food items available. The staff working there are also quite pleasant 😊 …
David Smith (2025-08-07, 8:00 p.m.):
Great selection, well-kept. Cheers!
Cheryl Walker (2025-08-05, 9:01 a.m.):
I went shopping for mum and spent 300 dollars. The supermarket had everything we needed except for one small item. Overall, a win for Metro. The grocery manager, who assisted me, provided excellent customer service. The only drawback was a messy shift change that resulted in customers waiting as no cash registers were open, but these things happen.
Nicholas Henderson (2025-08-03, 7:29 p.m.):
Outstanding variety of fruits, veggies, and other goods. Top-notch customer service as well.
Linda Bailey (2025-08-01, 4:58 a.m.):
Fresh produce. Much superior to other shops in Beaconsfield. Excellent service. Packaged items may have expired. Be mindful of the Best Before dates.
Mark Richardson (2025-07-29, 12:01 p.m.):
Great selection, shelves are well-stocked with fresh produce. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Quite lovely, a bit challenging for the elderly.

I popped into this supermarket to collect my Too Good to Go order. Even though I arrived ahead of time, they had my order all ready to go.
William Reed (2025-07-22, 1:09 a.m.):
I do my weekly grocery shopping at this supermarket, and for the most part, it's alright. However, today was the first time I had to use the family restroom to change my 3-month-old's diaper, and I must say, I was utterly appalled. The state of the facilities was abysmal. Not only was the changing table filthy, but the entire bathroom was in a deplorable condition. To make matters worse, the table itself was broken, tilting at a precarious 45-degree angle away from the wall. I had to hold onto my baby tightly as I used the filthy strap provided, fearing that he might roll off onto the floor. The situation was dire, with a messy diaper blowout adding to the chaos. I considered relocating to a different restroom, but the urgency of the situation kept me there, despite my worries about the table's stability.

I informed a young lady at the customer service desk about the issue, and she was polite and assured me she would notify a manager, which I appreciated.

Nevertheless, the management of this store should be ashamed of allowing the family restroom to deteriorate to such a state. It is not too much to ask for a safe and clean space to change a baby in a grocery store. The bathrooms, in general, should be cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis, if not more frequently. Seeing how dirty the wipes I used were, it's evident that the changing table had not been cleaned in far too long.
Isabella Ford (2025-07-18, 2:30 a.m.):
Fully stocked with all the essentials for your home! Everything is fresh and delicious!
Donna Martin (2025-07-18, 12:21 a.m.):
Tidy shop, with a wide range of products and top-notch fresh produce
Brittany Johnson (2025-07-17, 5:16 p.m.):
Plenty of options to choose from, but the worker in the fruits and vegetables department should really be inspecting the quality of the produce. The "Bio lemon" I bought turned out to be rotten in every single one of the five bags I checked.
Michelle Diaz (2025-07-16, 5:57 a.m.):
Extremely tidy with a great variety of products. This is the first supermarket where I've witnessed the staff diligently cleaning the refrigerators and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.
Mary Green (2025-07-14, 3:30 a.m.):
On occasion, Supermarket tends to display prices that may be a tad higher than what's advertised in their flyers. Additionally, they have a tendency to package sale items in larger quantities than one might desire. Just a heads up for potential shoppers out there.
Jennifer Brown (2025-07-10, 6:59 p.m.):
Great selection, a bit pricey though. Edith, the cashier we had, was lovely, but some of the employees on the shop floor and in the departments seemed to lack a bit of energy. 😊
