Great variety and quality, however the prices are quite high. This store should be visited as a last option only.

There seems to be a decline in the freshness of the products at this supermarket. During my visit today, I noticed that all the meat had an expiration date of two to three days, the bread was less than a week old, and upon returning home, I discovered that the cheese had expired 13 days ago.

I took it upon meself to buy me husband some roses for Valentine's Day. I was in Sobeys on the 13th of February and the roses looked absolutely gorgeous. I already had one item from the produce section, so I asked if I could pay for it at the florist counter. The three women behind the counter started sighing and rolling their eyes, making it clear that I was asking for something quite unreasonable. I offered to pay for the roses first and then take my other item to the checkout if it was a problem, but they just ignored me at this point. One of them even picked up the phone to confirm that produce items could be paid for at the florist counter. My items were scanned without any conversation or eye contact. In the midst of this, a young man approached with a question and received a rather nasty response. "Really! Do ya know how busy we're gonna be tomorrow!" he quickly retreated.
The following day, I shared with me boss how dreadful the whole experience was, and she mentioned she had gone in to pick up two bouquets she had ordered and had encountered a similarly unpleasant situation.

I popped into the Amherstburg Ontario store to grab some bits for dinner. After I paid, a chap on staff stopped me by the entrance and accused me of pilfering. I had the three items I bought in my hand. I told him no, and even opened my handbag to prove it. However, he delved into my handbag in front of other shoppers before letting me leave the store.
As you can imagine, I hadn't stolen a single thing, and I won't be returning to this location if that's how they treat their customers. Utterly disrespectful bunch of staff.
