It was somewhat helpful, but I was rather displeased by the fact that the staff resorted to physical force. If you attempted to resist, they would restrain you by lying you down and using their entire body weight on you. As a result, I now have bruises from one of the staff members who pressed her full weight onto my arm.

I resided in that establishment, and I firmly believe it ought to be closed down. Myself and a handful of fellow inhabitants were victims of mistreatment by the personnel and other residents.

Excellent spot with an incredible team!

I resided at that establishment during 2019 and 2020, and it was truly a remarkable place. The majority of the staff members were exceptional, as well as the educational institution itself. They provide access to various forms of support, which, to be completely honest, could be quite demanding at times. Nevertheless, if you adhere to the necessary requirements, you will receive significant benefits and privileges.

Sara Butler (2025-06-26, 10:51 a.m.):
This place was absolutely fantastic during 2015/2016. The team was incredibly kind, respectful, and understanding. The individuals I connected with were some of the closest friends I have ever had, and I truly miss them. It provided a secure and nurturing atmosphere, and I have immense respect for all the people I crossed paths with during that period. I wholeheartedly endorse this program.

Close this establishment immediately, can't fathom the mistreatment they are allowed to perpetrate.
Adam Nelson (2025-06-25, 4:59 p.m.):
I resided in this location from 2019 to 2021, and at the age of 18 now, I can attest that it was not an ideal place to call home.
Billy Myers (2025-06-25, 1:48 a.m.):
This place is fantastic for assisting children in learning to manage their anger and difficult behaviors. They have a variety of animals such as horses, donkeys, goats, cows, and even some doers. It's an excellent option for pre-teens and teenagers alike.
Shirley Thomas (2025-06-23, 3:42 p.m.):
Living in that environment was incredibly challenging on both a physical and emotional level. Feeling trapped and essentially confined for months was a difficult experience, as I felt like I had no control or voice in my own situation. It's not surprising that some individuals felt the need to escape - I can empathize with their struggles, as I was once in a similar position. Overall, it was a truly traumatic experience that left a lasting impact on me.
Douglas Roberts (2025-06-18, 11:58 p.m.):
Lovely, absolutely top-notch content, mate! Keep up the good work on this brilliant blog about Non-profit organizations. Cheers!
Alexander Brown (2025-06-14, 7:15 p.m.):
I resided in this area. The program seems to be operating rather inequitably, especially given that they have had a tragic incident involving a child. Have any parents requested detailed information on the program's success rates? It appears that many of the children are inclined to flee, as I myself can attest to.
Lauren Taylor (2025-06-13, 4:08 a.m.):
My sibling had a distressing experience at this establishment, and I must say it was quite disheartening. It is perplexing to me why they are permitted to continue operating. My sibling endured unfortunate circumstances, such as having his footwear and socks confiscated during the winter, forcing him to walk barefoot in the snow for extended periods. Moreover, he was subjected to physical assault at this facility, and astonishingly, they dismissed his grievances by insisting that he was too inexperienced to comprehend the situation.
Daniel Ortiz (2025-06-12, 10:21 p.m.):
I absolutely adored the grounds and surrounding area. It truly exudes a charming quality. The programs on offer are quite commendable as well.
Gabriel Turner (2025-06-10, 2:40 a.m.):
Back in 2018, I must admit I had a bit of a love-hate relationship with this spot. It wasn't really the ranch's fault, more my own stuff getting in the way. Fast forward to now, at 20 years old, and I find myself looking back fondly on my time there. The team was top-notch, the surroundings simply stunning, and the myriad ways they support young people – don't even get me started on the animals! Every aspect of this place was fantastic, and I am truly grateful that it played a part in my life
Walter Cruz (2025-06-02, 12:56 a.m.):
Hello, I just wanted to share that back in 1985, when I was 15 years old, I had the opportunity to stay at Oak Hill. It was a challenging time for me as I tended to run away often, but looking back, I am truly grateful for the experience. Living on a farm and taking care of horses, engaging with the wonderful staff, and enjoying activities like camping, movie nights in the city, and even attending a concert, all contributed to shaping me into the person I am today with strong beliefs. I believe that not many of the kids I grew up with have had the same chance in life. The inner-city kids from EDM are a resilient group, and I still make sure to take the time to appreciate life. If you were also at Oak Hill in 1984 or 1985, I hope you are doing well and living a fulfilling life.
