Exploring Targo: Internet Service Provider in Sainte-Clotilde-de-Châteauguay, Quebec

Targo has established itself as a prominent Internet service provider (ISP) in the small community of Sainte-Clotilde-de-Châteauguay, Quebec. With various opinions and experiences shared by its customers, let's dive deeper into what makes Targo stand out, particularly in terms of accessibility and service.

Accessibility Features at Targo

When it comes to accessibility, Targo appears committed to serving all its customers effectively. The company's facilities, including the wheelchair-accessible car park and wheelchair-accessible entrance, emphasize their dedication to ensuring everyone can access their services comfortably. This aspect of Targo's infrastructure is crucial, particularly for individuals with mobility challenges, who often find it difficult to navigate traditional service centers.

Customer Experiences with Targo

Targo's customer reviews range widely, reflecting both positive and cautionary tales. Many users have praised their swift installation process, particularly highlighting how fiber internet was installed the day after they called, often at half the price of competitors. Such quick and budget-friendly service is certainly a strong selling point for potential customers. On the other end of the spectrum, some customers raised concerns about what they consider price gouging and the lack of technical support, especially during evenings or weekends when outages occur. One reviewer stated that they had been paying significantly more than average, indicating that while Targo may offer competitive initial pricing, ongoing costs can escalate unexpectedly.

The Importance of Customer Service

Customer service is a critical aspect of any ISP. While many reviews commend Targo for their super friendly customer service, there are complaints regarding technical support for unresolved issues. Several customers noted difficulties in getting through to technical staff who could adequately address complex problems, such as connection stability and privacy concerns related to network management. One customer expressed dissatisfaction with the DMZ setup, stating that it posed potential risks, opting instead for a bridge mode feature which many ISPs offer. This suggests that while Targo is providing a basic internet service, there might be room for improvement in offering more sophisticated solutions that meet modern residential needs, especially as smart homes become more commonplace.

Conclusion: A Mixed Bag of Experiences

In summary, Targo serves as an essential Internet service provider in Sainte-Clotilde-de-Châteauguay, but customer experiences suggest a need for continued growth and adaptation. With a strong focus on accessibility and commendable customer service in some instances, Targo is striving to cater to its clientele. However, the variability in service quality and technical support underscores a challenge in maintaining consistency. If you're considering Targo as your ISP, it's wise to weigh both the positive feedback regarding quick installations and friendly service against the concerns raised by long-term customers regarding pricing and adequate technical response. Balancing these experiences will allow you to make an informed decision about your internet service needs.

I recently acquired Targo for my dear Grandmother, and it's simply splendid to see her now enjoying reliable internet service up in the countryside 😁!!! My interaction with Serge over the phone for the setup was top-notch; truly exceptional customer service 👌! I wholeheartedly award the company and Serge with 5+ shining stars!!! Many thanks! …
Billy Lee (2025-08-12, 8:53 a.m.):
Fantastic customer service!!
Serge was absolutely brilliant, thank you so much! We finally have internet up and running smoothly.
Harper Young (2025-08-11, 1:47 p.m.):
The service provided by this company is quite unsatisfactory, especially after 8pm. The speed drops significantly to around 3 to 7mbps, which is far from the promised 30mbps that we pay for. Despite leaving messages requesting a callback, there has been no response from them. Our account is under the name of Stéphane Brunette.
Zoey Watson (2025-08-10, 6:54 p.m.):
Contact their customer service for new deals that are more affordable and provide higher speeds, what could be better than that?
Zoey Ramirez (2025-08-10, 11:38 a.m.):
It's quite pricey, they seem to be the only option around and they really make the most of it! Can't even locate my account because I never signed up, not at those rates! I get faster speeds on my mobile with ample data and pay less each month. I was hoping for a stable internet connection but the costs for such slow speeds are just too much.
Juan Hamilton (2025-08-10, 3:55 a.m.):
Fiber internet was installed the day after I rang them up at half the cost of their competitors. The customer service was super friendly. I would recommend them 100%.
Jordan Baker (2025-08-08, 8:09 p.m.):
Kudos to the company that goes the extra mile by reaching out to you personally after noticing your concerns on Facebook. Big shoutout to the team that truly values customer feedback and works tirelessly to ensure customer satisfaction!
Joan Turner (2025-08-08, 11:14 a.m.):
Oi mate, I've noticed an improvement in my internet service lately, so I upgraded me review from 1 to 3 stars. It's been quite steady for a couple of weeks now, but the last time it held up this well for a spell, it swiftly reverted back to being dreadful. Fingers crossed it keeps up this time, eh? Cheers! 🤞
(Check out the snap of how it used to be every ruddy day) ...
Scott Foster (2025-08-07, 8:18 p.m.):
My mate can't join me for a game sesh because your service isn't up to snuff as you've boasted.
John Campbell (2025-08-05, 10:03 a.m.):
I reckon I paid $20 for wifi whilst camping, but the bloomin' thing basically doesn't work. My missus also chipped in $20 from her iPhone just to check if I mucked up somehow, but alas, her username and password were a no-go too. I rang up Targo, and they told me, "Well, you were given a username and password, so there's nowt more we can do for you. There are no refunds."

"But it's as useful as a chocolate teapot!"

"There's not a lot I can do about that."

So if you fancy throwing money down the drain...

***UPDATE***
After their swift reply, I shot them an email as requested within hours and provided both account details. They speedily refunded as promised. Cheers to them for sticking by their service, so I'm bumping my rating up to 4 stars. Still docking a star for dismissing me over the blower when I first called for help.
Denise Rivera (2025-08-01, 2:30 p.m.):
Even though I see the complaints, I have to admit that my internet is quite superior compared to Bell's. I always get around 24 to 25 as promised. Big thank you to Targo!
Benjamin Peterson (2025-07-30, 9:56 p.m.):
Superb service, lightning-fast speeds compared to our previous provider. We've finally upgraded to Fibe internet.
Philip Martin (2025-07-29, 11:05 p.m.):
Comparable to the high-speed connection in Ethiopia.

You lot at Targo ought to hang your heads in shame for subjecting us to living conditions akin to those in Northeast Africa.
Randy Gutierrez (2025-07-28, 7:00 p.m.):
Top-notch internet service with their fiber-optic technology, competitively priced for my region. Ongoing satisfaction surveys ensure quality performance. Many thanks!
Julia Lee (2025-07-25, 3:21 a.m.):
They only promise 8 to 10 megabits for my residence... They don't answer your calls quickly. They charge top dollar, because they know they have exclusivity in certain areas... that is to say $114.94 per month for unlimited. And what's more, the network goes down all the time!
Marilyn Ramirez (2025-07-24, 10:22 a.m.):
I am absolutely chuffed with Targo's service. Serge really took the time to listen to our requirements and went above and beyond to deliver a top-notch service. If there were more stars available, I'd gladly give them all!!!
Thomas Alexander (2025-07-20, 2:53 p.m.):
Having just been upgraded to fiber-optic, the service has significantly improved. Serge from customer support was truly outstanding, providing excellent assistance during the transition to the new system. Consequently, I have revised my rating to accurately reflect this positive experience and have retracted my previous negative review.
Elizabeth Cox (2025-07-18, 10:55 a.m.):
Outstanding customer service, I must say. We've been with Targo for a good 6 years now and I must admit that I am absolutely content with both the telephone service and the internet connection they provide!
Charles Bailey (2025-07-11, 2:22 p.m.):
Oh mate, let me tell you about this rubbish ISP I've been dealing with for over a year now. Always making excuses for their snail-like service. Two months back, I decided to stop handing over my hard-earned dosh until they sort out their mess. Every evening past 6:30, my internet crawls at a pathetic 0.82MBs, sometimes dropping as low as 0.27! And get this, when they do their speed tests, they miraculously claim I'm getting 14MBs. Can barely surf the web, it's a right load of old rubbish. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of Targo, wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Betty Foster (2025-07-09, 7:19 a.m.):
Recently, we had Targo's Fiber Optic Internet installed - and I must say, the ladies who carried out the installation did a splendid job. They were incredibly pleasant and made sure to leave everything neat and tidy once they were done. The internet speed is absolutely fantastic, a significant improvement from what we had before. We've explored various options in the past, including Satellite, and this service is definitely superior. Living in a rural area has its challenges, but now we finally have access to a reliable high-speed internet service thanks to TARGO!
