The service from this gas company has been absolutely dreadful, the worst I have experienced from a utility company in all my adult years. We recently acquired a new home and they disconnected our gas supply because they claimed they had not received an application "quick enough". They say they hand-delivered the application and left it on the porch, but I never received it as we don't have a mailbox - it could have easily blown away or been taken by the previous owners who still owned the house on the day of delivery. In all my years and across 5 different homes, I have never encountered such poor service. With a baby at home, we now have no stove, no dryer, and no hot water. The soonest they can reconnect us is in 3 days from the disconnection.

Epcor states that the delivery charge amounts to $177.86 in addition to a monthly fee of $13.50. The gas cost itself was $157.20. If the delivery costs are higher than the actual product cost, there is a significant issue. This scenario mirrors the situation with Hydro services in rural areas. Upon calculation, the charges for just my street total approximately $3750.00. Gas is distributed to the town via the same pipeline before reaching individual homes. This situation is truly outrageous!
