Upon arriving at the coffee shop, we found ourselves amidst a group of children who eagerly rushed inside. They were quickly followed by a swarm of others, who kept bypassing me in the queue to join their pals. The line progressed sluggishly as the youngsters placed their orders and scattered about, prompting the ladies behind the counter to search for them and call out when their donuts were ready. Finally reaching the counter, I was disheartened to discover that they had run out of soup. Opting for a couple of coffees instead, I settled at the table my husband had snagged earlier, the sole adult patrons in the establishment. Consulting his app, he learned that the EV charger outside was malfunctioning. Grabbing our drinks, we unplugged the car and set off for Port Rexton. While I understand that kids can be rambunctious, there's no excuse for them to jump the line ahead of other customers and create additional work for the staff. And for heaven's sake, keep a pot of soup simmering for lunchtime! The experience wasn't as seamless as it initially seemed. Steer clear during lunch hours and don't anticipate piping hot food.
