Lovely camping spot for those who love nature. Certain areas of the campground can only be reached on foot, which eliminates car traffic on the site.
Kathryn Ortiz (2025-08-26, 12:06 a.m.):
Avoid this campground and opt for a solo kayaking adventure on the renowned tour (4 hours) instead. Be sure to check that the water levels are sufficient for an unforgettable experience. I've embarked on this journey over 5 times throughout the years, from the age of 12 to 23, and have never been let down.
Joseph Carter (2025-08-25, 8:14 a.m.):
The team there is so friendly and the guides are just lovely. Quick tip: make sure to consider getting cancellation insurance and inquire about the water levels 24 to 48 hours before your visit. They might not inform you in advance, and you could be in for a shock if the water is too high from recent rainfall. It may not match up to what you've seen in the ads and photos. Nevertheless, it remains breathtaking, and the rush of adrenaline will keep you going. However, those serene, crystal-clear waters might not be quite as you expected.
Mark Adams (2025-08-24, 7:17 p.m.):
The beauty of nature is truly unparalleled.
Stephen Jones (2025-08-23, 8:21 p.m.):
We availed of the shuttle service and it was definitely worth the money for a fascinating trip to Lake Put-in. The staff and driver were top-notch. Would highly recommend them.
Nicholas Rodriguez (2025-08-22, 10:06 p.m.):
Absolutely splendid! The campground is a true gem, with magical surroundings. I highly recommend trying out kayaking during your visit!
Frank Russell (2025-08-22, 9:42 a.m.):
I surely do miss the cozy hot tub and the lovely small pool at the campground. It added an extra charm to the whole experience of camping in the great outdoors. Can't wait to be back there soon!
Mary King (2025-08-19, 12:57 a.m.):
One must remember that this is a vast campground space, and even if you opt for private rooms, the service level won't quite match that of a 5-star resort. Nevertheless, I observed the hard work put in by the staff each day to maintain the cleanliness of the bathrooms, reception area, bar, and to organize activities ensuring everyone had a memorable time. My stay was fantastic; the campsite itself was lovely, the river was stunning, and the bar offered a great selection of local beers and food. The only downside was the fire ban in place during my visit, preventing us from having a campfire, but this was beyond their control.
Larry Reed (2025-08-18, 8:53 a.m.):
I recently embarked on a 4-hour kayak excursion at the close of the driest month of the year. It was an absolute blast! The experience was exceptionally well-coordinated, with an emphasis on safety and top-notch equipment.
Gloria Jones (2025-08-15, 5:54 a.m.):
The camping pitch had a comical lack of privacy from the neighboring pitches. My chosen spot for pitching my tent was a mere yard away from my neighbor's. If you plan on taking a shower, ensure you have more than a single dollar on hand, otherwise you'll find yourself drenched in soap suds.

In my humble opinion, I cannot recommend this campground.
John White (2025-08-14, 4:10 p.m.):
Just had the most splendid time on the 20 km river excursion! Every moment was a delight, soaking in the picturesque views and top-notch gear. Cheers to unforgettable adventures!
Philip Gray (2025-08-14, 7:38 a.m.):
We embarked down the river with Cime Aventure and their guides. They provide valuable guidance on navigating the rapids effortlessly. The river was incredibly pristine, with water so clear it was like crystal. The team truly emphasizes the preservation of the river and shows great respect for the fishermen we encountered along the way, as spotting salmon floats is not uncommon.

We spent the night on their grounds and let me tell you, it was an experience like no other. Incredibly welcoming to both children and pets. It's refreshing to find such a well-maintained place and witness people in high spirits. The owners were exceptionally hospitable and shared the story behind their mission and company history. They told us how it all began. Additionally, they are eco-conscious - they recycle water for showers and bathrooms.

An absolute must-visit for everyone!

We had a splendid time enjoying the "popular" activity along the Bonaventure River with a kayak. The team at Cime Aventure is incredibly well-coordinated, ensuring everything went seamlessly. They provide all the necessary gear to get you ready for the adventure. I highly recommend them!
Christopher Patterson (2025-08-13, 6:59 a.m.):
The kayaking expedition was quite well-coordinated, and I would definitely recommend it. However, I wasn't too thrilled about the camping experience. The outdoor bathrooms were a bit unsavory and emitted quite an unpleasant odor. It reminded me of a youth hostel in South America or something of the sort. Additionally, there was a surprise charge of $1 for using the shower, which I wish had been clearly stated on their website.

I was situated in the open campground, and the large unleashed dog at the neighboring site nearly attacked my small, leashed dog. Although an employee spoke to the owners, there were no further repercussions for them, and there didn't seem to be a sense of urgency in addressing the situation. Following that incident, I wasn't inclined to stay any longer, especially with that family and their aggressive dog nearby. I ended up departing a day earlier than planned.

I felt that more could have been done by the campground staff to manage the situation better and ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
Brittany Baker (2025-08-12, 2:49 a.m.):
I truly appreciate the lovely setting and the seemingly amiable staff at this campground. While our campsite was on the smaller side, we found the price to be quite reasonable considering it included access to electricity. I particularly enjoyed the provision of a mounted white tarp to shield our tent from rain. The enforcement of curfew hours until 11 pm ensured a peaceful environment for all guests.

For an additional $10, you can purchase a sack of wood for a cozy bonfire experience. On the downside, the cleanliness of the washrooms and shower facilities left much to be desired, although they do offer a washer and dryer for laundry needs. Regrettably, the dishwashing area was rather filthy.

An enticing feature of this campground is the opportunity to partake in kayak tours along the river. Although we didn't avail ourselves of this activity, we observed numerous enthusiastic campers boarding buses for their aquatic adventures.

In terms of cleanliness and upkeep, the campground falls somewhere in between pristine and shabby. While it may not be our top choice for future camping excursions, my partner and I did not have a wholly negative experience during our stay.
Christian Reynolds (2025-08-11, 6:44 p.m.):
Lovely river, but the campgrounds are a bit pricey for what they provide. Perhaps they could consider reducing the cost of firewood and showers. Cheers!
Nancy Rodriguez (2025-08-11, 4:45 p.m.):
Not a jolly good experience, I must say. The wood is terribly distant from the camping site, no privacy to be found from fellow campers. It's dreadfully crowded and the noise from neighboring campsites carries on through the night. One solitary machine for laundry servicing 80 camping sites, can you believe it? And showers cost a dollar, only to cut off abruptly, prompting another dollar to be spent. When inquiring about dining options, I was directed to their woeful food truck. Misleading information indeed, as there are plenty of other campsites offering superior services.
Richard Walker (2025-08-08, 4:35 p.m.):
If you're on the lookout for a family-friendly retreat with a slew of on-site activities, search no more. This gem is brimming with options along the river suitable for all skill levels, boasting all the essential amenities and more. As they continue to expand and grow, they are bound to only improve with time. A truly serene spot exuding tranquil vibes, and best of all, free from any flashy extravagance!
Andrew Campbell (2025-08-07, 10:59 p.m.):
Opted for a 1.5-hour tubing excursion down the river, an incredibly soothing and tranquil adventure.
Austin Perez (2025-08-06, 3:38 a.m.):
We had a fantastic day on the Bonaventure River with Cime Aventures. The weather was absolutely splendid, and we truly relished the river at its finest!
The camaraderie and safety throughout the excursion were top-notch. The gear was of premium quality, enhancing our adventure to no end.

A massive thanks to the whole team for this unforgettable escapade!
