Our inaugural visit to this brewery was quite delightful. The assortment of beers offered was commendable, and the prices were quite reasonable. Opting for flights allowed us to sample a diverse range of brews, all of which I found rather enjoyable, particularly the raspberry rhubarb. My husband, on the other hand, had a penchant for the burning fuse, infused with pineapple and jalapeño flavors.

The staff exuded warmth and greeted us with cheerful smiles upon our arrival. We were also given a warm welcome by Ginger, their charming Australian Shepherd. The outdoor seating on the grassy patio was ample, and dogs were graciously welcomed.

Should you find yourself famished, a food truck positioned adjacent to the patio offers delectable treats, albeit at slightly elevated prices. We visited on a Sunday morning right at opening time and soon witnessed the patio bustling with patrons and their canine companions. There were preparations for entertainment underway, although the exact commencement time eluded us.

Overall, it was a delightful sojourn, and we eagerly anticipate returning for another visit.

Always on the lookout for new and exciting breweries, I've explored destinations like NYC, Bend OR, and the entire west coast in search of top-notch beer experiences. I must say, this brewery stands out as one of the finest. It was a serendipitous visit for me, as I decided to take a different route home than my usual Hwy 2 drive and stumbled upon this gem.

The owners and staff were an absolute delight, adding to the fantastic atmosphere. The food truck parked outside offered perfect options for pairing with the exceptional brews served inside. While the selection was not vast, with only four beers on tap - blond, ale, lager, and barley wine - each one had its own distinct character. My personal favorite was the Vienna ale, perfectly complemented by a beer-infused grilled cheese with pepper jelly.

This unexpected find has now become a must-stop on my road trips heading south. Cheers to great beer discoveries!

Soft opening was a hit! The beer selection was top-notch. I would have appreciated a bit more background info on the brews, but the place was buzzing with customers! Exciting news about the upcoming addition of a food truck. A southwest wrap-around patio is also in the pipeline. The staff were incredibly friendly. Looking forward to my next visit!

I popped over to Tasty T, the diner next to Hard Knox, for lunch. The food was top-notch, and the vibe was so chill and cozy. I definitely suggest stopping by. They offer a selection of mix-and-match beers for tasting, which is such a brilliant concept!

This place is absolutely amazing, top-notch atmosphere, delicious food, and fantastic folks! We popped in yesterday and Jess was holding down the entire bar by herself. She absolutely smashed it, managing the pressure like a pro and being incredibly friendly and efficient.

I had splendid expectations upon my arrival at this establishment, and I must say, I was not let down in the slightest. The staff here is exceptionally amiable, and the patrons are equally delightful. A special shoutout to Paul, Russel, Lisa, and Randy for their invaluable recommendations for our trip.

The brews on offer here are truly exceptional; as Harvest Host guests, we had the privilege of sampling a variety of them, all of which were superb.

Many thanks for the warm hospitality extended to us during our visit!

I must say, I was completely taken aback by stumbling upon this delightful hidden gem tucked away here in a quaint Alberta town.

Sitting among British, Australian, and Vietnamese travelers, we savored a flight of beers, indulging in the diverse offerings of the brewery.

Leaving with a growler in hand, this charming spot truly impressed with its great atmosphere and excellent beer selection. Cheers to that!

Today was our first visit to this brewery, and initially, we were a bit apprehensive about the lack of food options. However, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as you're free to bring in your own food! The possibilities are endless, haha. This setup is not just great for the local economy but also offers a sense of freedom in choice. We opted for a flight and my wife and I particularly enjoyed the Vienna. Personally, I found the Dirty Logger Brown Ale quite delightful! We're definitely planning on purchasing some in the future.

We also appreciate that the brewery is kid-friendly. Thank you for that!

We hope to see your beers available in more liquor stores soon. Congratulations on the success you've achieved so far. Cheers!

Had a jolly good time at Hard Knox Brewery, I must say. The proprietor Pam was simply delightful, and the barkeep Sean was an absolute hoot. And let me tell you, the brew was top-notch. Jolly good fun all around!

Amazing brews and fantastic live tunes. We had a blast at the Sunday jam sesh.
Gabriel Kim (2025-07-10, 7:01 p.m.):
We had a wonderful time celebrating Cinco de Mayo at the local brewery. The lively atmosphere with children playing in the dust pit added to the charm of the event. However, we were curious about the decision to remove the grass and the recent changes in beer prices and pint sizes. These factors might influence our decision to continue patronizing the establishment for drinks.

In response to the owner's comment: Yes, it was mentioned that the pint sizes were adjusted two years ago. I hope the intention wasn't to imply dishonesty on my part. It's important to consider the feedback received from customers, especially regarding the unexpected presence of children at a brewery. Let's strive for a more suitable environment in the future.
Joe Hamilton (2025-07-07, 7:54 p.m.):
Hard Knox is always a jolly good time! From trivia nights and karaoke to live music, delightful dishes, and splendid brews - what more could one ask for? They even have hitching posts for your trusty steeds, welcome dogs, children, and the whole kit and caboodle. A splendid addition to our fine town, if I do say so meself!
Barbara Jones (2025-07-07, 11:01 a.m.):
Today, we trotted our horses to the brewery. Once again, the service and overall experience were top-notch. A definite must-visit if you happen to be passing by. Cheers!

Had a brilliant time at the brewery, loved the beer and live music! The staff were ever so friendly. Cheers!
Keith Campbell (2025-07-06, 4:37 p.m.):
Just stopped by the local brewery taproom and gotta say, it was a pleasant experience. The vibe was chill, the staff were friendly, but the beer was a bit hit and miss. The gal at the counter, bless her heart, was as sweet as pie but lacked knowledge about the brews (I tried to chat about hop profiles and such, but she was a bit clueless).

Tried their Vienna Ale, quite an interesting one with hints of coriander, orange notes, and a bit thick finish that reminded me of a Heffeweisen. It was enjoyable, but I reckon I need to give it another go.

The IPA had a lovely citra/chinook aroma and flavor profile. Not exactly west coast style, but definitely pleasant. If they amp up those flavors a bit more, it could be a real winner!

Now, the NEIPA wasn't my cup of tea at all. Either there was a mishap in the brewing process or something funky in the lines. Detected notes of pepper, sulfur, astringency, and even a soapy aftertaste. Mentioned this to the gal, but she seemed lost.

As for the Banana Brown, strong whiff of Bubblegum, malty mouthfeel, and a banana chip finish. Still on the fence about this one, might be better on a cold winter day.

Overall, left feeling a tad let down. Seems like they might have rushed things or had some hiccups along the way. The taproom staff could use some more training. They don't need to be Cicerone experts, but a basic understanding of what they serve would be a plus. When I mentioned enjoying the dry-hopped bitterness of the IPA, the gal looked a bit lost. With some improvements, this place could really shine. Rooting for them to succeed and will continue to support this small-town brewery. Cheers!
Evelyn Murphy (2025-06-30, 4:57 p.m.):
I popped into the brewery just before closing time with my missus and it felt a bit hurried. The opening hours listed on Google didn't quite line up and there was no clear info on the website either. Bit confusing, especially since we drove all the way from Calgary. But hey, gotta say, the beer was top-notch! Cheers!
