I was not very impressed when the agent Shawna called me back to let me know that she couldn't see me because she was fully booked for the next couple of weeks. While I can understand this, what I can't understand is that she didn't try to schedule an appointment for her next available date, so it was a missed opportunity. Purchasing your first home after a Divorce is splendid. When you acquire a property that swiftly rises in value due to various factors, it becomes even more splendid. What's not splendid is when a lender engages an Appraiser that ain't up to par, and it hinders your ability to remortgage. That's what occurred to me until I reached out to Kelly....and another Lender. The other appraiser evaluated my home, located on a prized commercially zoned property (MU-1/C2), completely revamped, positioned on a street with a traffic count exceeding 23,000, as an older, smaller, unrenovated home on a modest lot zoned R1, in a cul-de-sac elsewhere. It wasn't comparing apples to apples but rather apples to coffee tables. There was no resemblance whatsoever. I was taken aback and bewildered at how this could be permitted without regulation. That Appraiser clearly didn't invest the time or possess the expertise like Kelly does because when I engaged Kelly, her Appraisal was spot-on. Kelly conducted extensive research, comparisons, and toiled diligently to ensure my Appraisal mirrored the true value of my home. She took the effort to ensure it was accurate and even reached out to Realtors for input. Kelly's (AKME's) Appraisal was pivotal in enabling me to remortgage and settle my debts, which is likely why most of us pursue remortgaging. My suggestion: reach out to Kelly at AKME first.
